Multi trait inheritance

Check it out. Cool little game to test multi trait inheritance.

You can quickly see backcrossing alone to a heterozygous trait will never give you a 100 percent homozygous line.

Won’t load for me.

Not sure how to win. First I tried to get the highest value (genetic/$$$) and make as much money as I could. Then tried to fill the tank with the highest value and least amount of breeding with highest money.

Fun game with Punnett square; when you think of the square size for 5 genes (1024 - https://www.khanacademy.org/science/high-school-biology/hs-classical-genetics/hs-introduction-to-heredity/a/probabilities-in-genetics); then cannabis has over 113 known cannabinoids each possibly controlled by a gene (THCA & THCB each has their own). Then some might be co-dominant and punnett square no longer applies. Also demonstrates why testing is important if you are trying to achieve a specific outcome. Grade 10 biology; and they say you don’t use what you learn in high school

EDIT: You can probably do it with one or two less breeds, but it comes down to luck of the draw. Sometimes you have to breed the same ones twice to get the desired outcome :).

I probably would have kept playing but thought, I have stuff to do.

Experts universally describe gene expression as a set of molecular processes involving transcription and translation, whereas students often associate gene expression with Punnett squares and phenotypic outcomes. Too many students leading the weed scene.

PS Mendel forged his data
