Mumen Ryder's Mini Tents

Day 17 of flower for the C99s.

Did a final defoliation. Removed all the super thin branches and lower leaves. A few fans covering bud sites.

Normally might not remove so much, but humidity was a bit high in the tent and with it so crammed in there the extra airflow seems necessary.

Nice setup. I think you’ll like the FMS C99- tropical aromas and a nice calm, motivating, uplifting high. Liked it enough to keep a mom.

They will probably need some support later in flowering to support huge buds on flimsy stems.

Thanks!

The stems are pretty flimsy. I removed a bunch that were thin as paper clips. I appreciate the heads up, I’ve got some stuff on hand to support them when they start to fatten up👍

The high is really what I’m after… I like calm highs that don’t put you to sleep. Glad you found it nice enough to keep a mom

So after a year of doing recirculating systems, I’m actually really enjoying doing run to waste. Way less checking and adjusting pH and EC.

The only thing that’s been a downer was that I was using quite a bit more water. I was measuring run off almost every day, at the same time every day and the EC of the run off was rising all the time despite being only .9EC in the rez.

I was able to fix it by running tons of solution through the blocks daily, but that sucks…

I ended up trying drip clean by HnG, and I’m surprised to say it actually works!

Now I still measure run off at the same time every day, and the EC of the run off is very close to the EC of the rez. I’ve even reduced the drip times by 10 minutes a day and still not seeing EC of the run off rise. At least for now it looks like the problem is solved :+1:

Here are the c99s day 24 of flower. Two of them are really stretchy… Hoping they cool it soon. I should have super cropped them, but it happened so fast I just sort of missed it…

Nice and green! Looking good there @MumenRyder

They look awesome. Those more stretchy colas are off to the sides so that worked out pretty well. I love having taller nugs on the sides where they can get blasted top to bottom haha.

Cindys fast I think they’re done stretching and will begin packing on super dense buds now.

Started some new seeds from Cannaventure: Black Raspberry Kush (Raspberry Kush x Blackberry Kush)

I actually texted the breeder (name is Rusty) to ask him if this was a good strain for my space and style and he gave me the thumbs up.

Very cool guy, super nice…

I ordered 5 fems for about 70$ which felt steep, but actually got more than 20 fems… Ended up about 3.50$ a seed.

The raspberry mix pack says 12 fems, but probably has more…

I didn’t realize that there was 8 fems in my pack of the BRK. The label said 5 so I accidentally dropped all 8 seeds straight out of the bag into a shot glass with water…

All 8 germed and sprouted and 1 looked really wonky. Tiny cotyledons, burnt looking leaves right out the gate… so I culled it.

Here are the other 7. I had to cull the other 3 in the middle which sucked…

I’m really hoping these turn out well, I would love to be able to support a breeder who is within 2 hours drive.

I have a buddy on another forum who grows out Cannaventure stuff pretty much exclusively and I have always been impressed by his results, so here is hoping👍

C99s still going in my other tent. They are doing good, but I’m figuring a couple things out over there. I’ll try to post an update on those next week with a clear summary of what I’m learning growing in 4 inch cubes:

Thanks for stopping by, and good luck in your gardens!

Dinafem Early Amnesia CBD Harvest/Smoke Report

We are 1 month after harvest now and a couple of surprises.

First, the nugs are super airy. Filled 6 jars with under 80 grams total.

The terps also changed pretty drastically. The lemon is still really strong, but the cleaner/candy terps gave way into really pronounced cake terps which was highly unexpected. Now she smells like lemon cake with hints of mango and tropical fruits.

The high is exactly what I was after. It’s like a cup of coffee without jitters. It’s actually a strange feeling for me personally to have such an intense alertness and focus without also getting anxious. The first few times I vaped the nugs I kept waiting for the sense of impending doom paired with harsh introspection and self judgement that comes with some strains, but it never shows up.

I enjoy this one so much I have overdone it in the evening more than once and given myself insomnia.

Overall I think she was so fluffy because of the issues I had growing in a tiny pot of hydroton. I’d like to try her again one day in a large rockwool cube and see how she does.

Thanks for stopping by, and good luck in your gardens!

That sounds pretty spectacular to me. The fluffiness wouldn’t bother me in the slightest, personally. Not with smoke like that, at least.

Well done!

Thanks buddy! It’s the first strain in a long time I have gone after multiple times a day. In the afternoon if I start dragging and losing motivation it really is nice to have around. I try to stop after 7pm or I’ll be laying in bed planning tasks and etc.

I’ve never sought out cake terps, but paired with the lemon it’s nice and the flavor really comes through the first couple hits when I vape it via Dynavap.

Overall I’m pretty happy with it

11 weeks in flower is longer than I’m used to but the effect was worth the wait👍

I’d say you knocked that out of the park!

I have no prejudice against fluffy buds, if anything, they grind easier. Yes, they take up more jar space and that would be an issue for commercial operations.
Your smoke report (and photos) are great!

Sounds like a nice and unique smoke. Something really cool about cake flavors in weed haha

Your Cindy’s are fat! How far along are they?

I know the feeling all too well

And sounds like bud I’d enjoy

Thanks man!
I’m honestly not super happy with my pictures still, but i got an app on my android called “Open Camera” and it takes better pictures than my default camera app. Just started using it part couple days and it’s noticably better.

Hey bud! C99s are 3 weeks in veg + 6 in flower.

The cake terps were definitely a nice surprise. I wouldn’t necessarily go after them specifically, but in this case they are nice!

It’s nice man. It’s a CBD strain so it’s definitely more mild than most stuff I have around but there is a noticable pleasant feeling that accompanies the energy boost so it’s easy to enjoy for sure.

Interesting! For me it’s actually the opposite. Last time I burned with fire I was pretty anxious, and it was a strain I had vaped a few times without issue.

The cannabis and anxiety connection seems to be pretty complicated. I dunno if it is because I’m ADD or what, but really stoney strains tend to give me anxiety easier than strains that are more uppy. Hopefully as legalization continues we will eventually get better information on how the two are connected.

Update on the c99 tent:

The small 4 inch rockwool cubes are hard to water frequently enough to keep salt from building up because they dry out so fast.

I’m actually only watering with 350ppm in mid flower… 100 of that is from my tap. Run off is usually 500ppm and steady, though every week or so I still have to flush each cube with 250ml tap water and a cleansing agent.

RainDrip drippers suck. They are all so inconsistent in how much they drip.

I switched to woodpecker drippers and these are very uniform in how much they water per minute.

They are also like 3 times the size of the rain drip lol…

Both of those are .5gph drippers.

The 2 plants that are the smaller pheno are probably 2 weeks or so from finish. The larger 2 could be another 3-4 weeks, hard to say.

Good luck in your gardens :+1:

Dear god, 350ppm?? I keep going up and am feeding at 1300 lately lol. I think part of that is the huge differences between meters, but also the nutes just get into em with your constant waterings vs me watering every few days.

If you want to continue with the cubes but water less there are big ‘blocks’ of rockwool (and coco) that you put the 4" cube on top of. You can grow some monsters with those. Or a tray that leaves a small reservoir at the bottom is another option. Or more smaller plants haha

They look great, the tent is definitely maxed out.

For real man… .7 EC so 350ppm on the NaCl scale (.5)

I do water them 7 times a day (and once in the middle of the night), for a total of like 25 minutes. It’s close to 2 liters a day per plant.

The higher temps and lower humidity in my tent keep them drinking quite a bit, which dries out those tiny cubes pretty fast.

I will probably go back to the 6 inch Hugos next grow. Those hold so much water they are a little trickier in the seedling/veg stage, but more stable in flower.

Good call on the slabs, I’ve wanted to try the uni slabs for a while, but they only sell them in large cases :expressionless:

Oh cool, I didn’t realize you’ve tried 6 inches before too. I do think the more water/nutes you can get through them the better, 2L a day is crazy. I have some pretty big ladies in 2 gallon hempy buckets and they take about 4L every 3 days.

I bet you could stack a 4" onto a 6" if you were careful or stuck them together with skewers or something…frankencube

The frankencube would be cool lol…

I think I need to get some floraflex pots that are big enough to keep a 6 inch cube off my tray or the run off won’t have anywhere to go really. My setup is kinda all tightly coupled together and if I change a part of it I’ll need to consider a few things.

Damn man… I really am using too much water… If I’m using 1.5 times the water of a 2 gallon hempy… I’m thinking maybe I’ll dial it back a notch and just flush ever few days.

They do make a 2.5 x 4 inch cube I could throw under the 4 inch maybe… I might try that as well.

Thanks for throwing ideas around man!

Hopefully I’ll stop wasting all the water… I get a lot of run off every week that I use in my outdoor garden so it’s not a complete waste, but still seems like I gotta get it figured out.

I don’t think it’s an unreasonable amount of water , but they are definitely thirsty ladies haha. My plants seem to drink less than most on here, must be due to conditions in my basement or something. I see some people on here have plants going through a gallon+ a day/plant and I’m kinda glad I don’t have to deal with that.

Maybe you could put the 6 inchers on little legs or something so they don’t sit in puddles? I don’t know why but I keep picturing frankencubes lol. I’m sure you’ll figure it out…
