My first time

Hey hey!
I am asking these questions now and I have asked for photos. Will let you know as soon as I get them.

I also have a question about PH and PH locke down.
What are those things? In the internet the info is confusing. Just wanna mention that I am buying water for my plants. 1 bucks for 3 gallon of pure water.

I also have a PH meter just in case if I will have to use it.
How ofter do you guys face this problem in your grows?

Thanks in advance!

If you’re lucky your water is at the right pH already.

I’m not that lucky. I pH my water every single time.

Test your water. Mine is 7.6

Test your water after you have put in fertilizer. I shoot for 6.2-6.5 and get there using pH down

All the best

Its called lock out. The [plant needs the water to be in a PH range between 6 and 7 to be able to access all the nutrients. Water will rise in its PH value when its left to sit my water PH will rise 1-1.5 points in 24 hours. So when you put water in the soil at PH 6 upwards the water will gradually rise up in the soil allowing the plant to get what it needs. If you start with a too high PH the plant cant access the nutrients, this is what is called Lock Out. To lower the PH you need something acidic.

Collect rain water instead of buying it, tap water is usually better, but needs to be left 24 hours for the chlorine to gas off, it usually contains things like calcium which is good, but not sure it will have it where you are.

I can’t always collect rain water unfortunately.
What if I boil tap water and let the chemicals evaporate and then Use that water? @Shadey

Can I use anything from my kitchen to lower the ph, such as lemon juice or something.

I pour my water from the tap and let it sit in a bucket for 24 hrs. No need to boil

I have heard of using white vinegar for pH down

Like Foreigner said, vinegar or lemon juice will ph down, you won’t need much, just a couple of milliliters in 5 gal bucket of water, start with a a few drops and see how much it changes the PH. I use organic apple cider vinegar, any vinegar or lemon juice will do though.

My first time was with a girl who was much older than me and it was … Sorry misunderstood post. Lol

I would think the one that says manure is more pure. Fertilizer may indicate it has other things as well. I’d go with straight EWC.

PH doesn’t seem to be as big a problem when growing in soil. I also fill 5 gallon buckets of water every night to de-gas the chlorine and then fill smaller one gallon pots to water with the next day.

It looks just fine now. I like the color better. Nice work! Now, patience and fighting the urge to do more… that’s the hard part, lol. peace

@GMan you do a great job by reading my mind lol.
I really wanna do more, but I won’t do anything without your guys’ permission.

It was quite dry, and I watered with a plain water. No feeding. But I watered at midnight though. Idk if that’s a good or bad thing.

Usually the humidity rises at night as temperatures drop, so people tend to water in mornings, outside is not so bad, but if you are growing in a tent with poor air circulation, its going to increase the chances of Powdery Mildew.

I’ll keep that in mind. Thanks @Shadey

You’ll be able to ease your fertilizer up to about 75% full and by next week full strength per the instructions. It’ll start swelling soon and you’ll really be proud of it. Just watch it and it will tell you when it needs something but don’t kill it with love!

You’ll be hooked soon. @Shadey has your back! Best vibes! peace

I have a ph meter at home. So I decided to test my nuted water. First I have added powders 4.01 and 6.86 into two different cups and added 200 ML water in each cup. Then I calibrated the pH meter by their help.

Right after that I put the pH meter in to my nuted water and it showed me 11.

I added approximately 2ml of vinegar in to a gallon of nuted water, and it changed to 9. I don’t know what to do with it. @GMan @Shadey @beacher
