My garden is Calcium Enriched

We are victorious!! I scoped the undersides of the leaves at 120x and NO BUGS!! All plants are praying and have basically fully recovered. A clone has been taken from the new Devil’s Hashplant female. I wanted to take a a clone of the mom, too, but it needs a few more days to grow out. New growth is coming in perfect, however.

This leaves me with two Devil’s Hashplant males. The tall one in the back and the short one up front. I still plan on making an F2 preservation run at some point. Since the short male has more of a broad-leaf indica structure I’ll use that one and hit both my females. What do you guys think? Tall or short male for preservation run?

I would say the short one, enough lanky sativas , I like squat indicas, yours look beautiful, count me on that list … beer3|nullxnull

Short one it is! Gonna do a small flower run first but we’ll make sure to squeeze that in!

Day 1 of flower

I’m not sure if the clone is gonna make it though. I don’t think I’m good at this part :\

You can trim most of those clone leaves, they are stealing energy to the plant to sustain them instead of producing roots and new sprouts … beer3|nullxnull

Yeah, she’s pretty much done at this point. I only took one clone. Not sure why I didn’t take more when training the plant before flower. I was planning on it but… didn’t.

Flower tent is looking great though. Maybe I can try and snip some more.

Now that’s nuts! It’s always the vigorous fast growers that herm and autoflower on ya. I guess that finalizes it. This male is getting culled ASAP due to flowering under 18/6 light.

It is a big plant in a 1 gallon pot so it’s root bound. But ya know what? I like plants that can perma-veg just fine. Short and squatty male will be paired with my slow growing mom. Not sure when, but soon-ish.

[edit] The deed is done. The male has been culled. A lot of those pollen sacs were about to burst and I already found dropped male flowers a week or so ago. The flower tent is in week 2 right now. I can’t be having that.

Do you happen to have more pictures of that hairless one? What was the Lineage?

Did you try pollinating it / is it still around?

I actually culled it about a week ago. It was FX3 from Solfire and it was one of the ‘recessive’ phenos that could be found in there.

To be honest, all of FX3 had an underlying anise flavor that I didn’t care much for and the smoke was not as clean as my Devil’s Hashplant mom. That’s why I culled it.

I prob have some more pics somewhere. I gotta look.

Quite the grower.

I like calcium in egg shells, oyster shells, liquid calcium from baked egg shells in vinegar. LABS are great.

They can still bounce back from that. I’ve let a few clones go w/o water a little longer than usual and after a day or two of being in proper conditions they come back to life. A better way to clone imo is 50/50 perlite vermiculite w/ coarse grade 4 on both.

I think the “root zone” got a little funky. I tried keeping it wet but it never perked up so I just let her go.

I definitely need to re-visit my cloning practices. I haven’t had great luck recently.

CSI GDP S1 seeds have been germinated as of today.

Devils Hashplant is looking great in flower. This one might possibly have a purple smell?

Preservation seed runs might be delayed or possibly on hiatus. Developing details are to come.

I don’t even know what day. Coming up to week 6 I think? I trained and flipped this plant as low as I possibly could and it still stretched to inches away from the light.

I culled the other male, unfortunately. It started auto-flowering, too, plus a couple other issues. It was a bummer because I liked the structure but I’m going to focus on flower since the weather is turning. Keeping males is harder than I thought.

1 GDP S1 popped so far. Hopefully the others aren’t too far behind.

They’re looking great, this is the most enjoyable part of the grow … beer3|nullxnull

Thanks, it’s also the hardest part of the grow because I ran out of my head-stash for the first time this year!

Luckily, I broke into some trim in the freezer that I’ve been meaning to turn into hash. There’s a couple different strains in there but my Devil’s Hashplant cut is by far superior in terms of flavor, smooth smoke, and good high. It’s a good reminder why I decided to keep this one.

Still only 1 GDP popped so far. I’m starting to get worried. I’ve been keeping my seeds in the fridge this year because that is the “right” thing to do but I hope I didn’t mess them up some how. It feels like I’ve had mediocre germ rates since then.

I did the same with mines until they started to sprout :see_no_evil: on the fridge, maybe because of the high humidity. Now I just grow the seeds recently acquired, have a cigar box with 160 + strains and a big guilty complex for being greedy while accumulating seeds embaressed_smile|nullxnull I will never grow. Use always fresh seeds and you will never have germination problems … beer3|nullxnull

My entire Bodhi and CSI collection is in there. I would hate to lose that plus the money I spent! The CSI stuff was purchased within the last year. I’ve successfully popped seeds that are 5+ years old before wile sitting out at room temp. I don’t know why I changed things. I guess I got paranoid.

I might try popping some of the TS x SSDD next if I have to.
