My grow + intro

Took 1 C99,
Very mold resistant considering the large bud size these girls produce.
Not too compact & not too airy. Fruity smell but can’t put my finger on what fruit.
The resin glands leave you with that sandy feel on your glove.

Here’s the other C99, she’s trying to break records and won’t quite with the pistils lol.

Also here’s some Lane Cove I’ve had hanging for a week, she produces beautiful flower that has really sweet blueberry syrup terps. Nice and frosty, the resin on this one has more of a damp feel when u handle it.

If you had to choose a color that represents the smell, which would it be?

Phenomenal job dude. The sandy aspect means it will wash well, correct?

I got in there especially to smell the c99 again. Haha. So it’s mostly pine but a sweet pine is my best stab at describing it.

Thankyou bro.
Yeah, that’s what I’ve heard some experts say too. (something about a harder membrane on the trich’s)

Today I chopped one of CSI’s Sweet 16 x Fallen Soldiers, (I have 2 other phenos in flower) she has been given some more root space and put back in the veg tent cause I wanna see what she can do in a proper sized pot.
She’s very easy on the eyes, smoke test will be fun.
Smells I got from her were purple candy but also floral.

I can’t stop posting Lane Cove pics. This is the last of the runs I’m doing of this cut. Such a beautiful strain. Hats off to Heavy Dayze Genetics.
Chances are i”ll regret letting this one go but I’ve had her for a year or so, so it’s time to do some more exploring. :v:t2:

Howdy OG’s
Got a few things coming along nicely.

Couple of fun sized Chem Fury’s.

Aaaaand of course with the warmer ambient temps I just found some bud rot.

Getting towards that time of year where this will be a constant battle with certain strains.
The seedlings I am running outside are a welcome change from hiding away indoors. :v:t2:

Oh yeah… I have bugs. What the hell are these? Aphids & their eggs maybe? I haven’t had these before. They show up in hard to reach places mostly. Not too worried tho. Just gotta keep on em. I’ve been spraying the early flowering plants and Veg plants with a combo of neem oil, a sulphur based product and dish washing detergent.

Ok that’s it for this week. :v:t2:

That Lane Cove sounds very interesting. It’s a real treat to see Heavy’s genetics grown.

Alright man, here it comes: what’s this lady smelling like?

This is nightmare fuel for me dude. You maneuver around these infestations extremely well, I must say. Hopefully someone can ID them for you.

Howdy Mr Xmas.
Yes brother, half this thread is Lane Cove pics, Such a beautiful plant. She did very well outdoors last year also.
I have re-vegged a really frosty Kyphi V2 pheno and have given her a super sized pot, I’m pretty excited to see her at her full potential next run.

…I let you down last time you asked that question! :joy: ill do my best to give an accurate description tomorrow.

Yeah it’s not great, I’m pretty sure they’re Aphids. But the grow show must go on! I spent quite a bit of time in the veg tent, pulling out & spraying plants one at a time, & murdering quite a few. I keep a lot of back up mothers seperate so it’s all good.
I can deal if a few bugs get through in the flower room as I have a pretty quick turn around, they don’t have time to do much harm.
Next run I’ll do my best to keep it all clean.
I am thinning out my numbers, increasing pot size, and will be pressing pause on indoor flower production (when these girls are done) in preparation for the nasty hot summer temps.
I have quite a few regs outside so should be able to do some pollen chucking.
Fuck I love this hobby. :joy:
Volunteered way more info than you asked for!
Always a pleasure to hear from you bud. :v:t2:

@Mr.Christmas … ok I tried my best.

Sensi seeds NL5xHaze :nose:t2:
Sweet & piney from what I can gather, in my humble opinion pretty much the definition of terpinolene.
Also I think it smells similar to Sensi’s Durban.

I need to find a better way to keep track of what plants are being grown by the homies. Truth be told, my memory is shot and the cannabis doesn’t help too much in that department.

I’m definitely strapped in for these new seeds you popped though.

Do you have any idea how it is they keep sneaking in? If anything, these infestations are good tests to see what plants deal best with them. Have you noticed any be entirely resistant to pests? The aphids I had in the 10x10 stayed clear of the OG Kush pheno I had, which I found intriguing.

Right? How blessed are we that we’re able to participate in it every day? Hopefully it becomes more accessible for newcomers as time goes on.

Hell yeah man, that gives me hope for my NL5 hybrid pack! That’s exactly what I was hoping for with them.

Cheers hermano, much love.

I had another major power outage a couple of weeks ago. had to put some girls outside, they were about week 7 in flower, 3 days in complete darkness with no ventilation… they had to go out. Most likely the main cause, my room is sealed but I do have a couple of holes that could use some filtration. Also very possible they just get in through the door when it opens.

I have not noticed that as of yet. But thanks for the reminder. I’ll keep an eye out.

Oh that’s good news then.
If they’re anything like the Sensi NL5, you can expect a sticky humungous yield.
I keep hearing that over the years the Dutch breeding methods may have deteriorated the lines. I guess you’d have to know the original version to judge.

Much love back Growmie. :facepunch:t2:

My seedlings outdoors are loving life.
Just topped them after the second set of true leaves. Very early for topping but I don’t like seeing the plant waste energy growing straight up, I want them branching out early.
I’ve heard training is better than topping but I have also heard when you top, the plants focus more on growing the roots.
Who knows…

Anyway here’s some pics.

Mango Haze x Z99
Nevilles Haze xZ99
Congo
Blue dream
NLxBig bud
Lane Cove
Cherry Bomb
Hindu Kush

So I’ve got some friends living in poly tunnel.
They are just chilling and haven’t eaten my plants yet. I don’t want to murder anything just so I can grow some nice flower, so let’s hope we all get along. :crossed_fingers:t2:

Cheers

PEST RESISTANCE THEORY.
So I have a nice big Lemon Cheese in my flower room. This room is currently under attack ( aphids.)
Most plants in there I can find some eggs under a leaf or two.
The lemon cheese looks about 2 or 3 weeks off finishing, which leads me to believe it’s probably at week 8 right now.

I took her out to inspect & smell her. She is not harbouring bugs or eggs & so far a different terp profile than the last time I grew her out.
This time she has pushed out nasty odour. I cant describe it, like if you imagined a natural stink bug smell that could be used to deter pests, you get the idea. The very same plant just a cut from the previous Franco’s Lemon Cheese I have harvested a few times now and usually I am geeking out about the mouth watering terps.

So I believe she knows there is a threat and has changed her terps to protect herself.
I haven’t read up on this. Not even sure if this is a thing cannabis can do. This is just me thinking out loud.
Would love to hear others thoughts.
