My Water Culture

I forgot! There is a crazy mutation on one of my plants, I’ve got to go and dissect it! ooo it’s lookin’ gnarly! PErhaps this is a round where I’ll get a handful of seeds.

Pretty flowers. I’ve noticed people taking photos of there plants at night outside and wondering if it can stress the plants. I guess not because lightning dose the same I suppose.
Why do you want to grow stuff that can’t be smoked. I know you make hash. I’m just curious to as why.
Do you remember what post you review your protocols? I forgot what they all where.
I’m sure when the lights kick on they will perk up a lil bit. I find 2 buckets to be a pain in the ass sometimes so you get a pass in my book if your plants look a little “haggard” lol.

You talking about the geranium? That thing is stylin’ I’ve actually grown lots of different crazy things in the water culture. It’s all about the data/observations I can pack in. Or the Zero plant? Yet another crazy data gathering mission.
Also! The geranium is going to be clone stock for the next generation of geraniums. Then people like my mom and the girl next door, can pump some mad flowers. Little flower clones that are clean of diseases! Sure you can buy that crap at the store for a couple of bucks…but then where’s the love?
Yah I got my stories nattering nonsense thread called “protocol 0 how to clean you plants” It’s actually packed full of good info. It details my method to keep parasites out of my grow, even though I bring in genetics from people with parasites. Stories too, about my friends, people down the street, and legal producers. They are like case studies, and reflect many issues found here in grows, as well.
I blame any shittyness in the grow on my own laziness where I’m playing computer games instead of monitoring the grow.

yah those plants needed a pick-me-up alright. The big ones in front were down to .8 EC that’s not high enough. So I boosted them like nuts  probably up to 3.4 I didn’t check. I’ll check tomorrow, it’ll all be mixed in by then. They are very large plants, I’ll give 'em that.
Also I got to scrubbing and tomorrow will be planting season. Since I tossed all the trash I’ll be planting big bud and making clones of meat breath.

Yes sir. My mind has gone to maybe growing some flowers. There nice. You think some plants just won’t do DWC? I don’t know if it would be wise for stuff like Carrots or Beats.
Protocol 0 ha! Yeah that’s it. I don’t know why I thought there was more. Lol. Thanks JoeCrowe I’ll give it a read. Whenever I have an issue with pests I’m thankful my grow is so small.

The documentation said it’s hard to grow a carrot in DWC without it splitting. They recommended some kind of external pressure on the root, like a bed of sand. Never tried it, personally!

Haha I seen your green house and saw all the twine hanging from the ceiling and was thinking “yup that’s JoeCrowe’s” but you beat me to it. Lol.
That’s crazy tho “protocol 0”. Just make a clone from basically a stick.
Protocol 1: don’t bring anything from outside inside.
I will read on later. Thank you.

ok! The sex testing has been giving some excellent data. Node 7 the one plant is starting to show sex, but node 5 for the haze attempt and the plant next to it. SO!!! I will shift the theory to fit the data better. I will go with, the later it shows the sex the more possibility it’s female. I wonder… if I could hit a zone where the node it expresses sex on determines it’s sex. Now that would be interesting! We’ll see how the data pans out.

veg! I’m going to be slapping 4 more big buds in there. And cloning the meat breath!

you can clearly see the plants are happy now. If you want to see what plants look like when they run out of juice, just look at yesterdays photos lol!

yah some people don’t “believe” protocol 0 works…buuut you just have to look at my pest-free grow to know the real truth. As Badger saw, it’s really quite simple in it’s execution  Jesus was convinced when I told him the last time I had pests was when I was trialing the protocol 0, after that… it’s been smooth sailing. He was giving me infested plants just to see if I could deal with the pests. wow how many strains has he given me? harlequin, meat breath, bobs, king tut, sugar black rose, some hemp. Each one infested!!! spider mites, aphids, thrips! wheee! I kill them all

I think there are going to be a few peppers on that thing by the time I plant it in the greenhouse!

I dumped the meat banger solution into the big bud plants here. Never waste a thing!

I only see myself doing a “protocol 0” if it was some genetics I really wanted or needed to hold on to. Otherwise I would scrap the whole grow and start over.
It is truly remarkable nonetheless.

there’s my crazy mutant big buds. Best hash producer I could find! They are coming down soon.

Here’s a magnifying photo of the meat breath! mmmm They is gonna be good. Oh! Also I prepped the buckets for planting, I just didn’t do it. I’ll clean out the cloner as well, toss anything I don’t need and clone the pelargonium/geranium.

I used protocol 0 to clean out a complete infestation, keeping several different strains. The secret is to not kill all the meristems/growth tips. Or else the plant dies as well.

oh, I forgot to say… the reason I developed the protocol was to bring plants into my grow and not get infested. Protocol 1 was working great, just never bring any plants in that aren’t seeds. Except then, I couldn’t grow any rocking clones - and believe me those infested clones are everywhere. So then I brought in blue cheese and I poisoned the spider mites. Things were looking up, until I realized the new batch of spider mites were immune to all poisons. So then I was like OK I need a method that is guaranteed to wipe out anything alive. No survivors! Enter protocol 0.

Ahh. Lucky for me I don’t know anyone to get clones from. It’s still illegal to grow in my state. All the growers are still in hiding. Lol.

joy joy! I think we have enough for dissection on the FLC BX1 plants. One looks male(5th node) the other looks female(7th node), so we have some good data. I will microscope them and see for sure what it looks like down there. Inspector Gidget.
