My Water Culture

I’ve totally managed to not stress out the meat breath. No pollen sacks or burned leaves this round, things are looking superb.

I have to go back and check my thread to see what my dates are.
This is one of my monsters I found after defoliation!

Yay to finding a stable one!

I think I may have had light leaks in my tent that I’ve now for sure fixed… been occasionally thinking about going back and continuing working that but… idk for now.

I did get a few that have a rubber, almost gassy, component in there. My guess is its something with the spiciness from the nl5hss male mixing with the cheese terpenes that are making it come out like that. I was initially thinking yours might be a pretty hazy expression but from what you’ve said I’m thinking not. Excited to see how the clone does regardless ^^

I’m actually leaning towards hermie trait might not be plutonium. It almost seems you can pick some stable plants out of a batch that contained hermies. Then start breeding for stability. I can see how if you are open pollinating that would be ludicrous. Hey I’m learning the lingo! hah hah!

There’s my plants! I am assembling the tubes in my empty bloom room.

DJ short talks about this quite a bit. Picking plants that don’t herm everytime, think he said you should be able to completely eradicate hermie tendency in 2 fgens.

lol I was always appalled by the old school breeders who would take a flame thrower to seeds when one popped hermie. In my mind I was like…yo… that shit ain’t right.

Oh I’m all about that. Not trying to breed, keep, nor spread, herm’s. Girl starts throwing balls at 3 weeks and she’s getting chopped. All my goji og f3’s did that and that’s exactly what happened. Same with a bunch of nanners at 7/8 weeks. Got too many other plants and breeding to do to deal with that.

Now that I’m pretty sure I just had a light leak in my tent, I’m really tempted to go back and grab the FLC #1 again and resume work looking for a male… buuuuut I’m already resigned to looking through other stuff for the time being so… off it goes… Still have a 10 pack of the original FLC F1 from Greenhouse if someone wants it.

It depends on a couple of things for me. By the time I’m a month into flower I’ve only got 3-4 plants so losing one would be a big loss.

I’ve saved a few plants by pulling pollen sacks as they develop. I’ve had plants that throw a few midflower then stop and some that keep spitting them out the whole final month.

I wouldn’t grow these plants again, but it’s not necessarily the end of the world. Just a pain in the ass and I certainly wouldn’t breed with them.

Yeah give it a bit and you’ll have more plants than you know what to do with
Also, flower… More flower than you know what to do with too :joy:
Also also, watch out for the perpetual tent, it’ll just happen one day when you least expect it.

I can stand to lose a plant or two… in the goji’s case it was the whole crop. Had to totally start over there. But if I NEED herb, I have a couple mom’s I know are good that I can run anytime. I try to always have enough of a stash back that I can afford to start over once if I have to. I could totally stop growing for the next 6 months or so and not break a sweat.

Just starting up tho, no mom’s… it’s real rough… I just got lucky with the first 10 or so plants I ran before finding a stable mom I wanted to keep around.

Strangely some of the banana throwers I’ve had have shown some desirable characteristics. One was the most purple I’ve ever seen and the other had a very distinct creamy/yogurt fruit smell.

Interesting but I still wouldn’t grow them again.

Some of the best looking plants I’ve ever seen throw nanners… just the nature of the game sometimes.

Up to you to decide what to do with it ^^

Things are doing good! I’ll grow excellent yielding unstable plants, it’s all about the yummy hash! Pure hermies that are tossing the sacks within 2 weeks I toss in the trash though. Don’t need the seeds, that’s for sure. One or two or no seeds per crop is ok!

Two of the sensi are up, and it looks like the mutant hulking C99 seed I put in there is doing something. I made sure to pick the mutant from the batch of seeds lol! It had this strange bulge.

c99 has shed it’s pod and tomorrow I’ll poke a hole so it can gain verticality. The sensi stars are already to go into hydro! I’ll take a photo tomorrow.

The first two are the sensi and the final one is the mutant c99. I was really curious about WTF was inside that crazy lumpy pod. I think the sensi are ready to splash down into the water culture and get their grow on. Their roots just have to clear the bottom of the neoprene puck!

I’ll be putting the seedlings into hydro today! The C99 was slow to emerge, but it’s getting bigger! The bulge on the side was some kind of mutant seed pod material, the seedling is normal.

we have splashdown! The C99 isn’t big enough yet, but it will be in a couple of days.

Seedlings are doing great! C99 is getting ready for splashdown. I have to wait until it’s fairly tall, so the root can touch the water while the leaves are above the neoprene. It’s got rounded cots!
