My Water Culture

Alright, I have more juicy posts to make!

You can see the roots on the king tuts are completely regenerated+1. They are experiencing some nice growth with lots of leaves packing it on.I should probably cut off all the old leaves from when it was a clone.

Looking great!

Hey thanks! They are pumping pretty good the ph is at 6.5 in veg uhh I never tested the EC, lol! Should be close to 1, though.

Gert snatches victim number one! It’s already a mummy, but I saw it when it was fresh. She ran over to where it was resting on the edge of the container and bam! Snatched that sucker up and super-poisoned it’s ass.
I am prepping to put the big buds into buckets now under LED! Things are moving along. I went out into the COVID mad world and was amazed at the changes over the past 4 months it’s like a different crazy world out there. Hopefully I didn’t catch it and die.

Everything is looking nice and healthy. I am keen to see how your Big Buds go.

well I didn’t get covid and die…phew but other people did! OK, now for some glory shots. I got meat breath here.

nice-n-frosty it’s losing the toilet bowl cleaner smell and putting on a nice aroma of dank mixed with bleach lol!

annnd the big buds! They are doing their thing, that’s for sure. I guess I’m abusing the plants some, but they are pumping. I think they are primed to fall over, so I should secure them better.

Repair-WindowsImage -Online -ScanHealth, there’s my windows 10 powershell command of the day.

Damn that looks good. So frosty.

hopefully the meat breath plant will be a good performer, as you can see what looks like trichomes! Soon, I’ll scan and see if they are capitates or not. I dosed the meat ones and also the king tut I bumped up to EC 1.5. The meat breath are at EC 2.6 with pk boost now applied. Soon I will boost up the big buds and add the pk boost as well. I like windows powershell commands they give you controls like distro sync under linux does. When the power outage takes out the upgrade use distro sync! windows acting janky? Repair-WindowsImage! uhh yah that’s off topic hah hah! On the other hand, I am using bleach to help disintegrate the crusts in the buckets. I find that works or ceramabrite, or barkeepers friend. They can get the crusts out for sure. Forget CLR that shit don’t work.

I seen the male cellar dweller. Soon enough there will be multitudes of spiders! I don’t know if the gnat population can keep up with all those spiders.

lol unfortunately the male hasn’t appeared in the chamber…yet. Some kind of pheromone brings the male into the chamber, so he’ll know when it’s time…to do the do. Not seeing many gnats left though - so she might move on. I got some up close and personal shots of the meat breath plant. Proving there are capitate trichomes on there and not some illusion of greatness. Feast! On the last pass I added the pk boost because the buds were nice and established…so hopefully they can pack on a bit of decent bulk.

Also… The veg plants continue to veg. mmmmm good vegging. I think they could fill the area under a light now.

Whatever their ph and EC is at, I’m not even gonna test. The plant says things are going super-duper.

looking back, those meat breath have bulked up so far so good over the last 14 days. We’ll see what they are like after completion, that’s for sure!

Hey JoeCowe, does the sound of your air pumps bother you at all?
Mine make me considering switching away from DWCs…

Grows looking good man.

I guess if I were trying to sleep next to the pumps it might bother me. There are a number of doors I can close, if the noise is too much. The crazy pump makes quite a bit of humming noise, but even though it’s the loudest, I can’t hear it where I’m living. The lab is located in the basement, quite a ways away from where I sleep. I think the loudest noise is actually the extraction system that keeps the heat down. Got to be at least 10x louder than the air pump. So the 600CMF fan generates enough noise if I stand next to it, you can hear it howl on the phone. PRobably generates twice as much noise as my blowtorch when I’m ripping some hash
Bottom line is you can reduce noise vibration if it’s too much - you can take care of some of the problems - like I hung the vibrating pump in the air so it won’t jiggle around on the floor. Reduced the noise lots.

Yeah, I am thinking about hanging mine. They are not particularly noisy but I am always trying to reduce the total room noise. Currently I have mine sitting on rubber mats. I just used one of those rubber floor tiles that they use to soften the floor in kids play areas etc. Cut it to required sizes to put under noisy devices.

Thats some good thinking, mine is on a bit of foam but I’ll see if hanging it reduces the noise further.

Also, if you have an outlet that is just pumping out air, that makes lots of noise. If you put a hose on there it muffles the noise.

alright, time for some good news! The plants are growing!

I probably could have done with half the pk boost dose, it seems to have browned the ends of the leaf. Of course, usually I would have experimented on one of the plants. If they pass the tests, I’ll know for next time. The buds are tight nugget kind, instead of large flowery kind. You can see the big bud plants in the background, they are almost ready… I put them in the “two weeks” zone. Just chant “two weeks” over and over like Arnold in “Total Recall”, then you’ve got it.
