New clones in soil turning yellow. Help Please!

Clones were taken from 6 different genetics taken from 2 month old plants or older.
14 of the clones are in FFOF.
I put in 2 tablespoons of Kelp
2 cups earthworm castings
1/4 cup lime.
They have been in the soil for 5 days. strong text
I forgot to turn the HLG 550 down to about 55 - 60% It was on 90% for a auto flower that is growing. It was on 90% for 5 days - 3 -4 feet from the clones.
Would the 1/4 cup lime bring up the ph to much? I don’t think it should? I believe FFOF starts out around 6.0 - 6.4?
The first 3 plants in the picture are in Pro mix HP
Amended with:
1 cup lime
1 cup GG 444
4 cups Earthworm Castings
5 TBS Kelp
The day temps are 76 evening temps 68
Humidity 50-60%
Great air flow…

Your soil could be to hot for fresh clones. Just a theory.
I usually put my clones into solo cups in weaker soil for a week or 2 to let them get used to the soil before transplanting into bigger pots with my usual soil.
Are they burning? Or just yellowing?
Usually if the soils hot they start burning and curling up.

90% is definitely way overkill for clones and could definitely be the culprit but if it was the light wouldn’t the damage be near the tops of the plant?

How long was it on 90%? If it’s the light they should start to improve over the next week with you adjusting it to a more reasonable level for clones.

It was at 90% for 5 days.
Yes even the bottom leafs on some are yellowing.
Does not look like nitrogen burn at all.
They were in solo cups for 10 days then into the 6 gallon pots

Magnesium deficiency.

So would you recommend Cal/mag?

What ph is your water

Cation imbalance.

Water in some gypsum (handful per container) to flush out the excess cation and replaces it with calcium.
See how that does for 7 days

Spray it with fertilome chelated iron.

And try using half strength calmag twice in between plant food feeding
This will help you to avoid over feeding for plants in veg. I’ve notice it helps my plant food last longer in-between feedings.

If you have issues add those 2 listed.
I won’t use calmag unless I’m seeing yellow leaves and red stems.

I’d be concerned with all the extra lime ur throwing in, looking across the whole canopy the yellowing isn’t consistent across em all which tells me ur having pH issues locking out different plants from different nutrients and exactly why im seeing all the comments saying the plant is missing this and that , fox farms is already the complete nutrition and adding lime or Sulphur just gonna throw your pH completely out of wack. I’ve never once had to add lime to any of my soil recipes and I’ve used fox farm straight out the bag and even built my own soil with nothing but a green and lush garden. If anything ur better off using a Lil gypsum cuz it will give u a pH buffer without throwing it completely out of wack but I’d be heavily backing off the lime or balance it back out with some coffee grounds throwing together the soil

Wanna step up the game a Lil then completely ditch the lime and switch to fireplace ash at the rate of 1/2 cup per 10 gallon(1.5 cu ft bag), way more beneficial stuff in it and will still kick up the pH a Lil but easier to balance and stabilize back down throwing the coffee grounds in together with it

If it were me, I’d take em outside during the day, flush the fuck out the soil and leave em outside for an hour or two to drip dry and slap together a fresh compost tea to give em the following day, that’s gonna be ur best reset button to get things back on track in my humble opinion

Other thing I want to touch on is how long are your lights on a day, I’ve found some strains to really throw a flying fuck fit being indoors on 24 hour lights, some plants don’t care but others need that sleep period for at least 4-6 hours or just hate being indoors. Had 2 rainbird f5 in my indoor this year and both plants looked like shit and was hating life but 40-50 other plants side by side in the same grow and soil all were just fine, just accepting its an outdoor only strain

This seem to equal this…

If that is all you have yes.
But a mag. nitrate foliar spray is better.

Probably caused by…

For a quick fix…

Nice work @Wuachuma and @99PerCent and everyone else that chimed in.

Good luck!

You are in soil. There are some organic products worth investigating. Do try and get it fixed before you flip for better flowering results.

If your light is too bright it’ll make them do all kinds of stuff. Good answer up top. Hot soil is a biggy! For me I drop ph and water. PPM and PH Good growing. Mag -cal is important with led lights. One thing I always add. FoxFarm has a low nitrogen
Product that’s not bad. Looks like milk. Cheap lights will suck it out of your plants. I believe in letting your plants sleep. Peace

That happens to my plants when I have the lights up too high for their liking. Lower the % down. I don’t think the soil is too “hot” as other say. I usually put my clones and stuff right into build a soil 3.0 which is really rich. I use it exclusively actually.
