You asked earlier about dimming your light. You can get ‘light meter’ apps for your smartphone that measure intensity. They’re not particularly accurate so I wouldn’t rely on them heavily, but you can get an idea of where you’re dimming to relative to where you started at least.

I used one to try and figure out how intense my LEDs were vs the metal halide I’m used to and realized I had them WAY too close. I put them up to max height and they still work great so the meter must have been at least somewhat accurate.

I have the one called lux light meter for Android, seems decent.

The app maxes out at 30,000 on mine so way more than that. I think it hits 30k at like 1.5 feet from the 600w bulb and it would go up exponentially from there. It’s pretty handy to figure out plant and light placement.

What is yours at?

Hot damn! Your phone must have a better light sensor than mine. I find plants will grow fine anywhere from 10,000 up… again probably not accurate at all but it gives me a good reference baseline
