Hey guys,
haven’t posted anything in a while so I thought I would show you some of my flowering plants from some seeds I got from @Cobra50 . They’re small because my first outdoor grow had the longest veg time I ever tried and it went to shit after waiting so long. I prefer a short veg time now and will compensate with a higher plant number in the future. I actually started with 4 plants but 2 were males. I am still tweaking my organic water only soil mix (much hotter this time) so they may not stay nice and green for long lol.
Anyways, here they are:
Cali-O(range) x Durban Poison
Love the pink pistils on the Cali-OxDurban… I had one of his purples going, but there were issues when transplanting, and it didn’t make it I do have a Cali-OxDurban currently in grow though… hope it gets the pink pistils like yours
same, mine were clones and all showing preflowers and placed outside beginning of summer. was such a piss off cause i gave him 5-6 clones, he brought em in to finish at the first then killed them
are you able to grow outdoor year round where you are?
Good to see you, Homie! Plants are looking good! I just returned from Jamaica and am gonna set up my cheapy greenhouse and try out some autos from @ReikoX in a week or two. I’m thinking it should keep them warm enough through winter.
I love cali-o and durban, that should be a killer cross.
Really jealous that you can grow outside year round. I imagine any plants outside would flower between like September and April or something? Do you just veg inside then chuck them out anytime you want during those months?
Yeah, I’m still here just reverted to lurker mode since my last grow went to shit and I needed to regain my confidence in my growing ability. My buddy asked me if I thought I could consistently grow nice green plants like these and I told him “they’re not done yet and anything can happen between now and harvest.” He said he could tell they were going to be healthy through harvest and all I could say was “that’s what I thought about the Green Crack.”
So how was Jamaica? Did you try any weed over there?
Exactly. It’s a great way to grow if you don’t mind smaller plants (I love them!). I vegged these plants from seed indoors until they showed preflowers then chucked them outside a few days after (so I could acclimate them to the outdoor environment a bit). The only challenge will be dealing with possible rain during the winter, but I’m going to try to check the weather report regularly to (hopefully) get a heads up about any big storms. A light sprinkle probably wouldn’t hurt much.
It was amazing! Paradise! Great time! Yes! Had some Jamaican Gold, some hash and a g13 joint. lol
Every other person on the beach had something to offer from their garden. Much different than when I went 30 years ago.
I can’t wait to go back!
These pics were taken by my friend yesterday or today. I’m out of town at the moment. Grown from @Cobra50 seeds, and I’m really impressed with the colors on these plants.
The colors, Duke, the colors! …I’m colorblind kid.
Lol, that takes me back.
Thanks @Cobra50. I was waiting to get a thumbs up from you, the breeder of these magnificent plants. Keep up the great work.
Edit: I’d really like to see someone with a legit indoor setup and more experience take a crack at these two strains to see their full potential. Hope some other people who got seeds from you post some pics. Can’t wait to see how the Purple Durban turns out.
I have one of each in my baby tent. It’s pretty pointless documenting anything until they have showed their sex. If they end up female I’ll add them to my multiple grow journals thread and give weekly updates on how they are doing.
Getting pretty frosty. The Cali-O x Durban Poison is pretty much all milky trichomes and shriveled pistils right now, but we’re going to let it go for another week or two because there are very few amber trichomes (only saw about three in all my trichome pics combined). The Purple still seems like it needs a good while to ripen since most of it’s pistils are still white and unshriveled. Haven’t checked it’s trichomes yet since it’s obvious it could still use some more time. Plants are indoors right now because there’s a chance of rain. Pics didn’t come out too well this time, but you get the idea.
