Northern Lights Auto "Stay at Home" Grow

Maybe they will come out fine, but mine were also from the vault. :man_shrugging:

Yeah I’ve run their stuff, shame the dice didn’t pick Mephisto for me eh?

Never heard of this. Right now, it’s like “Good night Whesly, I’ll most likely kill you tommorow.”

So, the other day I was chatting with Mr.Sparkle about what I should do with this NL !Auto. In the end, I decided to change the light schedule to 12/12, but also increase the wattage of the lamp to maintain a similar DLI. After two 12 hour nights, I like the way the plants are progressing. The RQS NL on the left is building more budsites. The Female Seeds NL in the middle is filling in buds and praying to the lights. Even the RQS on the right

I believe you pegged it in the beginning when you were talkin about container size and basically went some autos flower say at the 5th node and some don’t flower until the taproot bottoms out (pretty much).

I ran your AP cross in a large container. It basically went photo on me while staying relatively short and mostly ran 1212 with my photos and did great. I remember asking you. Would autos suffer in 1212 some did. The kalashnikov P.A.M. I grew red poison and the DS tanked.

Your APx and Mr. S’ s green pheno were amazing running a tad longer in 1212. Maybe it’s the NL not being wanting to be an auto. Lol. I had 1 savage NL plant man. Momma has all the good shit. Holding out on the Reiko fam. Where they do that at?

Reiko suave put the magic back on those hunnies. Mr. S was the wingman. When I think autos you two guys are top notch. Have a good one bud. They’re doin just fine.:call_me_hand:

The right one really responded, I wonder if it was from just 2 days of 12/12 or if it was ready to go anyways? Will you make the cycle longer again now that they’re flowering?

While they responded, it by no means is starting to flower. They all look better under 12/12 right now, so I will stay the course…

Hang in there bud. They look great.:+1:t2:

The Northern Lights Autos are continuing to respond well to 12/12 light schedule. The RQS on the left is starting to elongate the tiny buds into something more substantial. The Female Seeds in the middle is fattening up and starting to get some frost. And the RQS !auto on the right is looking like it may start to develop some more pistils, I flopped the two tallest branches again to even put the canopy.

Nice thread, great plants, excellent work @ReikoX ! Always been curious about auto and getting really inspired by the various micro setups OGs are running curently including yours. Glad to have a seat!

Northern Lights Autos are at about 64 days from germination now. The Female Seeds NL in the middle is starting to finish up, the pistils are turning brown and the leaves are starting to fade. The Royal Queen Seeds NL on the left is flowering well now. The buds are bulking up and even look like they may have a bit of purple to them as they mature. Finally the Royal Queen Seeds !Auto on the right is finally starting to flower after about 10 days of 12/12.

I also had a few extra Zak Haze clones that I decided to just throw in the flower tent. I’m just curious how much I can get out of a 4.5" pot and 12/12 from a rooted clone. I’m hoping for 3-5 grams each. They are in a, somewhat hot, water only mix.

The NL Autos are doing okay right now. I noticed some thrips damage on a few of the leaves. Not much I can do for the two that are heavy in flower, but I sprayed the !Auto on the right since it has only been flowering for about a week or so. I really only gave these a single IPM spray and I brought in some outside dirt. Since I sprayed right before lights off, we have a lights off picture today.

The Female Seeds NL Auto is just about done after 10 weeks since germination. After about five and half weeks of 20 hours of light, this was the only one to start flowering so I reduced the light to 18 hours of light. Another couple of weeks later, I switched the lighting to 12 hours of light, but I also increased the intensity a little bit. I probably could have gotten a lot better yield had I left them on 20 hours of light, but the RQS were simply not flowering. So I decided to increase the yield on two plants while decreasing the yield on this one. Hoping to get a couple of ounces from her.

The Female Seeds Norther Lights Auto is done after about 11 weeks from seed germination. Yield suffered a because I had to lower the lights to 12/12 for the last three weeks. The smell is nice, but almost identical to the WWxBB testers I grew. Otherwise, it was a very easy plant to grow and was a moderate to light feeder.

That gives a little more room for the others to spread out a bit. The two big plants left are Royal Queen Seeds Northern Lights Autos. The one on the left looks like it is wants to start senescence, I would guess another 2-3 weeks for that one. The big one on the right is about three weeks since I flipped them to 12/12, so I would expect at least another 6-8 weeks. I noticed new thrips damage in on the Zak Haze, they are due for another spray of spinosad anyway.

Oh this is weird. Do you think its maybe a seed mixup? or just a coincidence that they’re very similar?

Everything’s looking great though! As usual for you it seems
Sucks on the bugs! Thrips are the worst. Hopefully you get em cleaned out of there for good this time

Honestly I get them every summer from my lawn. They are known as “thunder bugs” because they come in when you have thunder storms (June and July here).

Aw rude, so no getting away from it really then. I didn’t know that but I’ve always heard they’re real easy to pick up and bring in. I always try and change clothes and shoes and whatnot every time I go down to check my plants, but I imagine at some point it’s just gonna happen no matter what you do. This’ll be my first summer grow(last was over the winter) and I have 4 cats that go outdoors so I’m trying to be super careful now.

Anyways, hope you get 'em knocked out before any real damage ^^

Fuck a trip. I didn’t even have to go back to know. They love my little sweet shoots. Little fux! When it rains I seriously pull the window latches to tighten up. They trash shit.

Nice outcome Reiko. Pretty little thing. Roll those dice.:sunglasses: I love to see those perfect solid plants. So clean. Love it. Be safe bud.:metal:

Northern Lights plants are continuing to grow well. The one on the left is definitely doing better than I expected it to when it first started flowering. I don’t think the switch to 12/12 hurt the yield at all, in fact I think it helped it. The one on the right is has been on 12/12 for about three weeks now and is definitely flowering now.

I took out the big plant and sprayed it with spinosad again. I dont usually spray passed werk three, but it is getting eaten alive. Then the room started to get to 87°F so I had to finally turn on the AC in the room. Then I swapped the right and left plant to get a little further from the circulation fan. The (now) right plant is throwing a final flush of new pistils. Every time I thin she is about done, she flattens up and throws out more pistils. The Zak Haze clones in the middle are flowering now, I may get a quarter between them. :joy:
