amazing grow just Amazing @NorthNorthNugs
wasn’t me
Uh YEW know it bud
Nice grow! I’m also a big fan of black swallow they have great no till stuff.
I had to edit my last post for you bro
Thanks! Ya they’re great. A valuable Canadian resource.
YEW might’ve just started a thing here
(looks outside my window to see sheets of rain)
Hope your rooftop garden is okay with this epic rain dump @NorthNorthNugs !
Thanks bud! Ya, the plants are a sloppy mess right now. I knew it was coming but there’s nothing I can do about it so I’m just going to let it ride. We got about two weeks or so of sun after this storm passes so I think they’ll finish out strong.
They’re getting their lean on hardcore lol floppy and heavy!
Hope your garden’s doing alright too man!
I’ve been following along your rooftop adventure from the start, but went through your grow again all the way from the beginning this morning. Your last epic post gave me flashbacks to when I had that many living plants in front of me holding pounds upon pounds of quality organic outdoor medicine.
Phenomenal plants man. Excellent genetic selections.
I know the time and effort put into grows like this firsthand. Nothing compares to the experience.
Wishing you a happy harvest bro!
great lookin roof garden hope, the fall weather is nice to your ladies
Looking good! Do you have to battle botrytis or other molds much with all that moisture?
Thanks OTUG, I’m honoured.
It’s a sight to be held, isn’t it? I love being around these big plants. It feels like a rainforest of dank… feels even cooler when I realize that I grew it myself. I definitely recommend to growers to try and grow a few monsters.
You nailed it. It’s a nice feeling to think that I am their caregiver… am I growing the plants or are they helping me to grow?!? haha but for real it’s a great experience.
Thanks for the kind words good sir. Happy to have you be a part of it and I’m glad I could kick start a few nice memories for you.
Thank you, I know they’ll be issues after this two day storm but I’ll deal with it as it comes.
Ya, for sure. I do my best to keep up with the foliar IPM sprays in veg. Sulphur, LABS and other Insecticidal soap gets a weekly rotation. I also use silicon in the form of monosilicic acid from a product called Zumsil. I really think that helps the plants boost their defences for that stuff. That being said, I’ve noticed a few spots of PM here and there so it’s got me a bit on edge. Last year I had an early October outbreak, which really sucked, and a few buds got hit with the botrytis. I believe it’s inevitable for most, if not all, outdoor grows. I’ve just learned not to get too bent out of shape about it. 95% of the plants last year were perfect meds! This year is looking very positive also… Can’t ask for more than that.
So far so good! I suppliment silica for reasons
Hey @NorthNorthNugs whats the dilution of the sulfur spray you use for IPM? And what’s the frequency you spray at?
Might have to break out the leaf blower and dry those girls out once the rain quits.
I believe it was 1 tbsp per 1000ml of water. I’d spray it like every other week or so in veg.
Some bad news, some good news…
SDxSS took a beating from the winds late last week. It seems that she got a small crack in her stem at the point where I topped her. I didn’t notice it until the rains came in over the weekend. The buds are getting fatter and the water bearing down on the branches proved to be too much…
It was a shocking sight to say the least but I found a reasonable solution this morning by using some rope, zip ties and a broom stick handle I had laying around… I knew I keep stuff like this for a reason.
I have faith she’s going to finish strong!
Next year I’m debating on popping seeds on June 1st and transplanting July 1 like I did with the Afghan Lemon. It’s a respectable size and very maintainable… if you think I’m complaining now, just waiting until harvest posts start coming in it’s going to be a busy month but I’m excited!
