OB's First Autos

Trimmed up the bubblegum. Hoping the airflow and light will help her perk back up

Man. I’m feeling for you man. Freaking autos.

So, idk if those canoed leaves are ever going back to normal, but I was reading a link about auto feedings that nef had posted, and the diff issues that could be causing some of the symptoms the plants each have.

Since the MD looks like its progressing well, and the bubblegum looks better but behind, I decided to test a small change and see what happens. I bumped the calmag up to 20ml/5gallons (from 15ml/5gallons). Hopefully it helps, if not, may try something else.

The MD buds look good if you ignore the leaves, and they feel heavy.

The Bubblegum dose look a lot better. Sucks that other on sill giving you issues.
Are you still thinking about doing a 2 bucket system?

Yeah, I am still thinking about it. My next project is going to be setting up some clones to be mothers, then taking 2 clones from each mom, and doing a mini seed run for each. During all that (aside from the moms) these tubs should work, since the seed runs will be 2 of the same strain, sharing the tub.

It is crazy though, even though the leaves are messed up, on the MD, the buds seem to be putting on weight with no issue. They feel pretty solid. Hopefully the Bubblegum can catch up now.

Just fed them. Might need a new electric pump thing for emptying the tote. Mine is temperamental

MD started going yellow on some of the middle leaves. Checked and the ph was dropping, and the ec was climbing. Thinking I pushed the calmag too far, and after speaking with @Mr.Sparkle decided to replace the nutes again, but going to lower the feed, and have the pH a little higher, to see how they like that.

Still kicking myself for putting 2 unfamiliar strains in the same tote, but thats what we are here for. To grow and learn  I really appreciate everyone here.

Looks like I’m starting to see little bits of amber on the MD

Random note, not really about this grow, though it may effect it.

The space I had hoped to use for my 4x5 tent is only 3’7"
Luckily I broke out the tape measure before I started setting anything up.
New plan is to move my 3x3 to that space, then figure out if the 4x5 can fit in that space, once its open. I don’t think it can. If it can’t I am going to have to rearrange some furniture. That might be a better option, anyway.

I dont’ like the idea of moving the tent that is currently housing my flowering autos, but I am pretty sure there are a few more weeks on those, at the very least. If my Mendo Breath and MAC clones root, I am going to need that other tent.

I may try to move the 3x3 after work tomorrow, gonna think on it until then.

Noticed a little yellowing in the Bubblegum leaves, so i checked the levels in the tote. ph dropped down to 5.6, and ec jumped up to 1.5. Since it needs a top off anyway, just going to refill with more of the correct levels, and see how it goes.

Bubblegum leaves lightened up a bunch over night, making me think the nute level drop was not a great idea. May try going higher again. Feel like I’m spinning in circles. Also may try adding some 37% h202

Wishing the MD trics would get cloudy, so I can chop and only have to troubleshoot one plant :joy::sob:

Looks really good Otherbarry!
Your doing really good with those two strains sharing the res I tried this in my late teens and failed miserably lol. Nice work.
Have fun rearranging for the tent. It’s funny how many times a grower will re arrange their house to find more grow space. It’s there, just have to look hard enough!

Thanks :slightly_smiling_face: It’s been a battle, as I’m sure you can see in the state of the leaves lol. I’m going to try and run to Lowes this weekend to get some 5 gallon Craftsman buckets so I can start giving most plants their own system. I do plan to keep my current totes. My first thought was for seed runs, but I’ve seen people mention it being better to get the male flowering first, so I’m not sure. I’ve done them in these totes already, so I’m curious about how much they would benefit from that.

They look great man,you haven’t burned either to a crisp so your farther ahead than I would be ahaha
Hmm would be interesting to do seed run with it but it might be hard to get them flowering separately like you said.
You could run a couple clones in there from the same plant and it should be a cake walk for you after having different strains mixed.

Be careful I never leave hardware stores with just buckets lol
