Odd Seedling Question

how they doing ? one thing ive had issues with jiffys is the outside mesh of them actually limits root expansion, sure they do grow past it eventually though that does seem to slow seedlings up and for me when i used them my best practice was to remove the outer cover when planting,

Haha! Can you tell which is which? It’s still living, but not thriving. Still holding out a glimmer of hope, but only a glimmer.

well left hand one looks like more a seed issue which ive had happen before they just dont move on to producing actual leaves, though if you do pull it eventually pull out the pellet and take a look at the roots when you do for experience.

Is this a pre leaf cluster in the center? Looks white in color. It’s hard to get in any closer. This is the non odd one of the two.

Top pic was 6 days ago. Doesn’t seem to be growing in size. Am I overthinking this one?

My first set of leaves on the bubblegum auto started out white too. Looked like little teeth!

So bottom pic was 6 days later? Might be a dud hope not!

The one in the bottom pic looks to be a dud.
Since this was almost 3 weeks ago you should’ve had an answer by now.
Did you keep it and did it grow?

Had something similar happen with some Purple Heart auto seed.
Planted 4 seeds in my original grow of this strain and one of them was pale white while the other 3 were deep olive green.
Normally I would toss that or at least never plant it thinking it to be a dud but to my surprise it popped along with the others and was the neatest plant of that neat bunch.
Fat happy leaves on squat plant!
I never toss my pale seeds anymore.

Hey - Look at the mutant leaves. This is the same plant the I started this post over. Look how tiny it is, it’s been over 3 weeks.

Well then… have you feed it anything?
What’s your soil mixture?

Looks like a runty one, this is Marks BubbleGum Auto yes?

3 weeks since the seed poped open or 3 weeks since it’s started growing above soil?

Yes, these are Marks Bubblegum Autos. Seeds popped 4/27. So, basically a month ago. I’m not expecting it to do anything, but it is fun to watch and hopefully I will learn something along the way. I’m growing in Dr Earth Soil with added perlite and worm castings. I’m feeding Dr Earth Organic 4-4-4.

I agree @spaceman. I don’t expect to yield anything from it except knowledge. I’m looking forward to seeing what it will do.

That’s amazing you must be using pgr’s🧟‍♂️

Here are the same 2 Marks Bubblegum Autos.
There were sprouted 8 weeks ago today.
I put them outside in the greenhouse 2 weeks ago. I believed all my plants had mites, so everything was removed from my tent.
Today, I get a good look at this flowering looking thingy. The entire plant is only 3 inches tall.

Here is the other one - it’s about the same size.

Nice to see they ended up even with each other at least. If they had/have mites that could explain it.

The flowering thing… how old are these? Like a month old? Light stress, maybe?

Turns out I have some beneficial predatory mites in my soil. They are still there, just living in the greenhouse now. Prior to being kicked out, nothing in the tent showed signs of light stress. I think they were stunted mutants to start with, but fun to watch. I’ll let 'em keep going.

Nice catch Arriba|nullxnull , I would think more in thrips, due to the irregular pattern of the white spots … beer3|nullxnull
