I had this happen with a reg auto recently except mine came up with only a single cotlydon. It took about 2 weeks to start any new growth but did come eventually

I think the white spots are from my husband spaying them down. He just uses the hose and douses everything. He has taken them over - (non grower / non smoker) It’s kind of a standing bet at this point. He said he wanted to gonna grow out in the yard. So, I’m looking forward to seeing how they turn out too.

Better that way 
, let him know you will personally water them, wet and dumped plants are asking for mould or leaves burnt by the loupe effect of the drops. Autos have a short life, going through problems means less development and less harvest, I would start more if available …
