Story #25 on cookies origins right here
Who’s “their Instagram”?
Ogkb is well documented, there shouldn’t be mistaken identities around this one
Whats the ig?
Thank you. I have no horse in this race, just a random guy from alberta. But i do love my drama and conflucting origin stories
Maybe I confused sorry people
It wasn’t bad intention and I was pretty sure to heard about OG kush breath and Abusive OG kush way before cookies apparition (thin mint, platinum, and forum cut)
I’m growing the Chunkypigs OGKB 2.0 cut from the icmag circles.
Bag seed from flower grown by OGkushBush himself. Many people that participate on the icmag forum will be familiar with the story of how Chunky came to find the OGKB 2.0 clone and the brother male Cookieboi.
I hear of cookies being a lower yielding type and this is not so for the ogkb 2.0. I’ve grown her now for 3 years and I think this will be my 3rd greenhouse run with her. I like her so much she gets a permanent spot in the garden. I have also gained permission from chunky to breed with his lines because he has hung up that towel and let the cookieboi male go. He is incredible in his own right and his dominance in the other lines chunky made with him is pretty cool to see. Right now in the greenhouse I have chunky’s Scoutbreath (ogkb 2.0 x cookieboi) and Fire OGKB f2s I made from the originals (fire og x cookieboi). If you were lucky enough to score packs from the extremely limitted drops from Chunky’s Bagseeds at GLG… don’t let those sit idle… grow the shit out of them and thank me later. I’m giving the ogkb 2.0 clone the STS treatment right now… gonna hit Biker Kush with Fire OGKB f2 pollen… among other things.
Those NL2 buds look identical to the AG version I grew earlier this year. Very conical/triangle shaped buds.
This is my post from back in the day. You can see a lot of haters mad just because I had the cut. Swerve on there commenting shhhh like he knew something. I was a very young grower who had 3 crops under my belt when I received the triangle kush clone only. It was always crippy and og to us. Dave got it from New Smyrna Beach. He lived in west palm and I lived in lake worth.
Chunky has one of the same cuts of kush I have and it’s spectacular and rather uncommon , if you see him release anything crossed to the 92 I’d recommend grabbing it.
Unfortunately Chunkypigs quit breeding and is just running his favorite cuts and those from his connections. He retired the Cookieboi male recently so he is gone. He still grows the ogkb 2.0 but he has many other favorite cuts. That 92 OG being one of them.
Being in Canada it is hard for me to get a lot of the cuts I want but yes I would love to get my hands on the Tahoe, the 92, the topanga and the Sour Dubb … and Irene but a canadian brother has her so she will hopefully be here soon. I realize the Irene is not really part of the OG story but she’s a lovely gal nonetheless.
I have pollen induced by STS coming off the OGKB 2.0 as I type this
This morning I coaxed enough pollen to knock up a branch of one of the ogkb 2.0 clone plants in the greenhouse. The deed is done and now the wait to see if that reversed pollen is viable.
just lost my 92 og was unable to get the snips to root, was very upset with myself for that loss.
arrrrr …
Just found this publication in my book collection
The Cannabible Collection by Jason King
(it’s a 3 book set) Please ley me look thru it and will give you-all what is mentioned
Interesting discussion - Now here is one ; ‘OG’ means and were did this “saying” come from / (OG Kush, ect ) who started OG saying ? We all know what 420 stands for and how it was created
I view irene as a standout og bag seed, just happened to be popped in Atlanta and was left out of the socal og craze.
The Tahoe is another one slot of people seem to like , I’m pretty sure there are at least two cuts that go around as Tahoe og , one looks a lot like the 92.
The 92 showed up in Colorado in the early 2000 era , it’s the mother of Bruce banner and some say the original og , for me the ghost cut is most similar to the original kush nugs I saw in los Angela’s early on but the 92 has that old school flavor to the extreme and is a much much better yielder, no lemon or floor cleaner terps like the ghost though. I would honestly suspect the 92 of being some relative of a pure kush or skunk line but am told it’s triangles sister , but that statement comes with a lot of questions so yeah another mysterious plant associated with the kush family
To add more confusion, the Taos OG was originally labelled OG Tahoe and from what I can tell, is far more robust as a cultivar than any of the OGs that circulate widely. The terps are also heavy gas, mint, on top of earth funk. It has hard hitting potency, strong mold resistance, strong frost resistance, and is not finicky to grow. It also stacks like a mf. Several people I have sent it to have sent back compliments as it was the best in their garden.
I just received the 92 OG and SFV so I can compare, but not that other Tahoe OG yet. All of those have citrus terps and Taos OG has none. Taos OG is my label I put on it since it’s been in the Taos area for 15 years or more. The original OG Tahoe label was correct but the providence is unknown. It is an incredibly robust cultivar though. Still the best I’ve ever grown in the mountains at high altitude.
There is a unrelated Tahoe og from master Thai that has the genetics in it to look a lot like that plant.
The 92 does not have the lemon or pinesol terps typically associated with og kush though if you got a legit 92 I expect you may be surprised how well she grows.
92 og
Ghost og
Any idea what the terps are supposed to be like in Master Thai’s?
Pretty sure the 92 is legit, I am looking forward to running it.
