well i looked at how many he sent, and how many sign ups we have.
then i took my shoes off so i could get an accurate count and my math didn’t add up. but i knew if there was enough pieces of string tied together they could circle the earth. and if that could happen, well then i think i could get one or two of them.

Gotta give big respect for any vet with a purple heart. I never served in combat but if I had, a Purple Heart is one medal I would NEVER want to earn.

I never served in combat and mentioned way early in the thread and declined to be included because my brethren who are combat vets deserve the blessings far more than I, but with the number of donations, I’d take some after the combat vets are taken care of,

While I agree with your thinking we can’t do that. It’s an equal amount for all signed up no matter how much respect I have for those who earned the Purple Heart. Now since you will all have an avalanche of beans you can always send some off to those folks once you get them. That would be really cool.

Sign up bud, if you served you qualify. You didn’t have to serve in combat, all parts of the machine played their roles.
