I spent a week on the Big Island 20 years ago. We stayed just south of Kona on the west side. The beaches are nearly arid desert - the rain dries up before it hits the ground. However if you move up the slope just a bit, you’ve got perfect amount of rainfall for coffee production. Swinging around to the southeast part of the island and you’ll find Hilo in a lush tropical rain forest. The island also gets snow and ice at the peak, has pastureland for cattle grazing, as well as a freaking volcano!!! I was blown away by the biodiversity. We circumnavigated the island and tried to explore as many climates as we could. I’d love to return to see more!
Howdy Buckaroos and Buckeretts! Another over cast and drizzly day that evolved into sunshine and 76 degrees in the afternoon. Man, it was so good to see the sun! Opened all the windows and doors, very nice indeed. Finished it off with a delicious Chicken Fried Steak, mashers, fresh green beans and lots of Cream Gravy. It’s a good day. The plants are happy and so am I! I put big girl shoes on the Bogglegum/Orange Goji and moved 2 into Zen Veg. There is still 2 more in mid Veg. (1gal bags) Bringing up the rear still hanging in 1 gal pots are Mandarin Sunset/Snow Lotus and a couple more Crater Lakes. Next we’ll be popping some Sensi Star f4 along with the SSDD. Summer time is rapidly approaching!
Hot damn, sounds like you broke through the fog. Glad to hear. We had a good day today at around 77°.
I’ve got a bunch of plants filling up the one gal pots and I want to flip them but I sort of want to put them in bigger pots. I need flowers though. I want to at least get clones of some but need to flip them. Time to sprout summer outside seeds now. At least any sativa strains. Sort of late on that. We cool back down tomorrow and having an almost normal spring this year.
How are you doing @ShiskaberrySavior? This pre-summer (other folks call it Springtime) has been filled with little hiccups and one not so little PM infestation in one flower tent. I got that knocked down and all is well for the time being. Gotta grow hard while I can before hell breaks loose. What’s happnin’ in your garden my man? I’ve been so busy I haven’t been perusing threads like I should be. Stay well and respectfully high!
Still plugging along over grew the veg room which is normal they all are over due for a transplant and clones need planting. Plus the tin box needs cleaned and reset ASAP .
Got called back to work so not a lot of grow time left in the day . Otherwise going good no nasty ‘s to deal with which touch wood its nice.
Have you ever seen the R. Crumb documentary, @oleskool830? I’m gonna assume you have, just because of all of the Mr. Natural shit you post. You’re obviously a fan haha, but if you haven’t, you should check it out. It’s fucking awesome. Love that dude.
I have seen the Doc. That shit is timeless. It has a way of immediately taking me back to what was undoubtedly the best time of my life. I am grateful for the experiences and it still serves as the foundation of who I am. If that makes any sense. 🫥:no_mouth::fog:
Yeah, that one where the family fucks each other and the mom comes out in dominatrix gear and shit is seeeeearrrrred into my brain, saw that one for the first time when I was like nine. One of my childhood friend’s dad kept those old Zap Comix on the coffee table (I’m sure they were reprints, no way they were originals; they’d have been worth a fortune, even in 1985). I didn’t really know what it was I was even looking at, but I knew it was something haha.
Years later, when that Crumb documentary came out, I was like,”Holllllllyyyyyyy shit…. So THAT’s what I was reading…” haha.
Happy Sunday y’all! All is well in the Hill Country this weekend. Mild days ahead. 80s in the daytime and 60s at night. So far So good.
I took some pics of the other flower tent tonight. In here are LS/SBT, Crater Lake and Bogglegum/Orange Goji. All around wk2 of 12/12. Some early buddage on a couple. I like it. Looky here…
These are Mandarin Sunset/Snow Lotus and a couple of tall and spindley Crater Lake that will likely never see the flower tent. They wilt if you even fart around them.
Those are some healthy and happy looking plants. Nice on the weather for you. It’s been nice here, just crazy windy some days. I take my plants outside every day. Lots of yard work. I made 3 trips to the dump the last two days. I’m getting ahead of it all this year. I’m still tired from that blitz.
How’d the PM end up? I sure hope you get/got it off of the plants. I need to find some powdered sulfur for the outdoor season and I may have enough stuff for any other pests.
