Good day all. I have an unbelievable story to tell. It’s one of those experiences that you hesitate to tell anyone because they will surely think you made it up. But I have video and photographs. OK. In our little Hill Country town there is one music store. YoMo Music is the name and the owner of the store is a great guy. It’s a small one room store with some Japanese guitars and typical accoutrement. The store doesn’t make much money but he has a contract with the school district to provide Band Instruments. On Saturday afternoons he allows some of the High School kids to gather at the store and jam. My nephew Logan, an aspiring drummer, is one of them. This past Saturday they were doing their jamming at the store and a scruffy old man in a beat up old pickup truck pulled up. He came in and told the store owner that he needed a guitar string winder. The old guy then turned his attention to the kids. With my nephew on his electric drum kit they all sang Silver Wings. The old guy introduced himself to the owner who already recognized him. It was Bob Weir! No shit! Bob Weir! The funny thing was not one of the kids knew who the hell Bob Weir was. Most had never heard of the Grateful Dead!!! He hung around and sang and jammed with the kids for a couple of hours. He told the kids he lives on a little ranch about 12 miles out of town “but don’t tell anybody.” The video is bad but it’s of him singing Silver Wings with the kids and a pic my nephew took. Don’t tell anyone my ass! My nephew sent me a text “who’s Bob Weir?” By the time I figured out what he was telling me Bob had left. I would have hauled ass to YoMo immediately! Got stoned and missed it. It’s so crazy that we laugh every time we think about it!

Holykristonapogostick… Bob Weir!?! Jamming with the highschool kids just cuz… frankly my response is, ‘well of course, what else would you expect? This is how the universe works.’ Nonetheless… coolness factor is a 20/10. I went to a show at 18yrs old in Buffalo (back when Canadian could cross the 49th par. with just a driver’s license - and trunk full of drugs. 1989 - or 90, I think. Look, it’s not the clearest memory.) Happy for you and those kids man.

Well, I’ll be! That’s the coolest thing I’ve seen in a while. Bob Weir was always one of my favorites. I thought his voice was just right for the GD.
When you live in a cool place, you will always meet cool people. Now, I want you and your nephew to get me a Bob Weir autograph and a pic of him smoking my bud! 
I bet he comes in often. He sure doesn’t look like the old BW, but who of us at our age do look like we did when we were 40 yo?
Tell Bob we said “hey”! I sure cherish all of the tunes he was a part of. Only got to see them once, live.
I hope you got your nephew hooked up with some classic Dead tunes on YouTube. He’ll flip out one day. He could be an instant rock star here on OG. 
Tell him if he can organize a video call from BW, out to OG, from Kerrville, TX, we’ll give him a free membership here. Tons of Dead fans here, from every year they played.

Love the stuff he does with Billy Strings nowadays.
Just like with the Dead, he still can’t remember all the words, lol!

It was 30 here this morning. Going to 73 but the wind is insane again today. We’ve had so much and with smoke from NM, too. Gonna be cool tomorrow with some rain chance in the evening. We just gotta get rid of this wind. Hope you keep some of those clouds. Maybe it’ll keep it a little cooler. hope so. that’s brutal.

98 outside and 90 in the Shitkicker Shed. It’s a little discouraging when you know what’s ahead. If I had enough medicine to get through 2 months I would shut down in July and August. But alas we need mo weed. My yields are not what they should be but they are improving. I’ve never done a scrog. I have an Octopot still in the box. Can you grow one plant in a 3X3 tent with the Octopot? I need to find a led for the 3X3. I can’t add another 400 watt hps. Maxed out already with heat and electric bill. I already have 2 600W and 1 400W in the old Shitkicker Shed. Along with various screw in LEDS in smaller tents. I have no pics today because it was so hot I didn’t hang around any longer than I had to. I was planning on taking the plants outside and washing them down. They still have sulfur spots on the leaves. Ok well there is all the news you can’t use.

That weather is finally here. It was 81-84 today, and beautiful. Tomorrow, 87 with high winds all day. All high 80’s for the foreseeable future. No rain in sight. I hope to take advantage of the summer and grow something tasty and high yielding. my current grow for smoke is way late. Haven’t flipped them yet.
