Yeah that’s some heat those temperature over there get high , here in Jersey it was 70 this week we had 90s last week and
my brother in Arizona just hit 113

Hey my friend. Whew! It’s good to hear from you. Yeah that post freeze harvest was good. 4 jars Ma’s Milk, 3 jars GDP, 4 jars Trainwreck, 1 jar Leb Sinatra, these are pint jars not quart jars. They’ve all been jarred for about 4 weeks. It’s all already much better than when it went in the jars. Yes, ms oleskool and I are Smokin’ the shit out of it! In fact we just got rid of all the grandkids and we are on our second joint of Ma’s milk with a joint of Trainwreck at the ready! I tell you it has brought us a new level of exhaustion. They are 4 thru 10. 4 boys 1 girl. A normal man would be dead! I love them all but it’s gonna be a long damn summer! We have a Park right across the street which helps. Unlike when we were kids, we can’t leave them there alone. Due to these fucking scumbag child predators on every goddamn street! All packing guns I might add.
Back to the weed. I keep a jar of Ma’sMilk, Trainwreck and Gdaddy purple in my side table. So far the Ma’sMilk is the “go to”. My current run is disappointing. You might remember I couldn’t find any promix within 100 miles of me. No happy frog, nothing! I had to buy some local shit potting mix and as I expected it sucks ass. It’s got pine chips in it which apparently hold water a long time. These girls have had wet feet the whole time. I like to have a wet/dry cycle for my plants. With this shit it all drys out but the bottom 1/4 of the pot. Girls have wet feet all the time. The plants are kind of sparse and floppy. More like “Spears” than fat buds. I’m only left with 4 after the plethora of males I had. 3 Crater Lake and 1 C99. They’re in week 5.
Alright! I rambled on huh? I haven’t talked to very many adults this week!

I forget about the kids. Yep, that’s a more than full time gig. My M Milk smell like rotting fruit and dirty clothes. Packing it on pretty good and I think about 3 weeks left. The damn heat finally hit hear with a vengence. I put them over in the shade for a few hours or more on a day like this. Then they come in for darkness. Last ones to do that I think.
That cross I made of @SamwellBB’s (WedCake/Gel x Dosi) x BLR/OG came out much better than the last try. No seeds, no herms, not a huge yielding plant but two small plants of super dense buds. Trichs everywhere. It doesn’t have as good a flavor as either of the parents but I just cut it all today for curing. It smokes great, super full body smoke and although the terps lost some of the their nuances, it has a mouthful of terps feeling. Hard to describe. We’ll see how the cure does. Looking forward to that MM. These last two will be all till October I guess. Not sure of any indoor flowering from now on. Might work with some males inside… not sure.
Bummer about the ProMix. Losing your base would screw me all up.
I got me some Purple Poison Cookies outside, 1 F, 1 M. Some Azad Kashmir, Malana, and the volunteers. I need to wet my next beans this weekend. Gotta do the CL. Still want to try a C99, too. 4th time has to be a charm.

Tell me about it, the urban farm and feed store where I bought all of my compost and amendments for my organic grow went bust.
They were not business savvy but they were very nice people and I’m super bummed out to see them go.
But mainly I am up shit creek without my usual mushroom compost, vermicompost, chicken compost, and seaweed.
Luckily I bought 3 bags of each to account for covid shortages. The way my grow works that will last me a long time. I use the same pots and soil for years and just add compost as mulch.
But it will be a rocky transition if I have to use different composts. It will totally change my grow.

It is! Not for the better. I know my promix. It’s consistent and predictable. I won’t bother with anything else. I should have just gone with straight coco. Live & learn!

Hey y’all. It’s hotter than 700 hells already. This run can’t be over fast enough. If you’re following along promix was impossible to find when it was transplant time due to a shortage of ingredients. I had to use some no name local potting mix that really threw a wrench in the works. Any way, the plants are a little sparse and buds kinda small. But it stinks like hell!
