Part 2: Fun with Ace - Panama/Malawi/Haze

NMP #3

I really love this kind of structure. This gal flopped over in the tent sometime, and got really dry and floppy. So I decided it was her time.

This has the calyx structure of the super malawi haze, but less dense. Good resin… I can’t wait to smoke her. I think she’s going to have some nice surprises.

Mex Haze (initial smoke report)

Hot damn, we have a live one here. This is pure speed weed. I got pretty damn high off the first go on her. It was a little intense, mildly terrifying. Thought I might have a heart attack for a minute, and it was borderline unpleasant for a bit. But really nice when you start coming off of it. Kind of like going over a hill on a roller coaster.

Smell is a little nutty, musty. A little spice in the smoke, but clean and light tasting. I’m not certain I’d say it’s really hazy, but it’s somewhat similar.

It caused my wife to overcook the pasta. That never happens – she’s Italian.

Sounds like a fun high except the heart attack scare can’t remember the last time I’d got high like that! Looks good left hand .

Panama Haze x Acapulco Gold

I’m on the hunt for some males to BX with my Panama Haze mom. This cross looks really good. I found a rather short one, with lots of branching… Unfortunately, I’m not doing so hot in my hunt for males. This hybrid came up 4/4 females. I’m keeping the shortest one, and I’ll use it to get some seeds, but COME ON BROS WHERE DEM NUTZ.

In fact, I’ve found 6 females so far and only 1 male. FML… this is not going very well.

Panama Haze w Lebanese/Syrian

Here’s the most mature PH clone I have going. I used it to pace with the Lebanese and Syrian pollen dumps. Syrian pollen has taken, despite the male being nearly sterile. I let it dry out real good and the opened pods had a bit of magic dust in them.

ROFL man I’ve been there before. I think like you pointed out, that part of the high is usually short lived before it becomes more pleasant. I didn’t really understand why someone would want weed like that until I got a little older and noticed that feeling tired becomes sorta the norm. Having some speed weed on hand can be a nice way to combat excessive fatigue.

Thanks for sharing all these awesome Sativas!

Extreme haze pheno. These are some resin covered, super loose, XL calyx buds. This shit is just wild… Man, this is the one. The yield isn’t great, but it’s just easy to grow connoisseur-grade sativa bud. I love the fat yields on Tons of Fun, but the high and the terpenes on this plant is what I’m looking for. I’m super high dudes!

She does smell like grandma. She also has that astringent, nasal clearing smell from the malawi panama side. Wildly potent that starts out with a kind of reassuring, positive high. Then it moves to a blood rush to the head. It’s really fun ganja. I can’t even trim right now. :joy:

My wife says it smells like moth balls (church) and tastes like cherry cordial or kombucha through the vaporizer. It’s cool to find this bud structure on a super short plant. I’m totally going to inbreed this one. And I call her mini haze.

I’m just tripping balls over this plant. It’s the bud structure of a pure sativa with no stretch.

Free Seeds to Testers

It’s been a bit since I’ve offered up seeds, but I’ve amassed a few hybrids I’m excited about.

First up, we have NMP#3 AKA Mini Haze. These are 50% Malawi, 25% Panama and 25% Neville’s haze from Super Malawi Haze x Malawi Panama. They’re F2 generation. Dad was a shorter pheno with a hazey stem rub. Mom (mini haze) was very short, with lots of resin and some extreme sativa/haze expressions. By virtue of being F2, I expect there to pretty significant variation. I hope that it will be easy to find mini hazes, but it might be a pheno hunt with a number of Malawi phenos as well. Assume 12 weeks.

Second, I’ve just finished plucking seeds from a hybrid between my prized Panama Haze mom and my prize-winning(?!) Black & Blue Lebanese and Syrian from RSC. Since plants from this area can exhibit sativa expressions, and are very short finishers, my idea here is to try and dig out a short flowering sativa with haze expressions, possibly milder, relaxing, uplifting without tiredness. I’m looking for the ultimate wake and bake or lazy weekend strain. If I can make all of that happen in 9 weeks or less, I’d be over the moon.

Last, I have a strain that is almost certain to be intense. Two of the most jilted sativas I’ve had - Mexican Haze x Malawi Panama. Ask my wife what it’s like to look over a 2500ft canyon wall after smoking Mexican Haze. It’s the kind of weed that can give you a panic attack. Malawi Panama is probably best described as electric and buzzy. Together, these might cause a psychotic break. Or maybe it’ll be a flop. Who knows, they’re testers. :joy: I’d bet on 11 weeks.

To qualify:

  • Must be an active member
  • Must be able to finish at least a female, and start seeds within 3 months or so
  • Prefer US, but willing to ship international if you’re eager
  • Please don’t ask for seeds if you’re not planning to help with testing. If one of these becomes a “must have” strain, I’ll breed it for a seed coop. :stuck_out_tongue:

DM for more details.

Well, panama haze is already pretty short for most sativas at 12 weeks. But the Lebanese and Syrian strains are very fast finishing. I’d never seen a strain finish in UNDER 7 weeks, but I have seen Lebanese finish in that time. I think there’s a lot of potential for a PH x Lebanese or PH x Syrian to be pretty sativa leaning plants that might finish in 9 weeks or less. I’ll send you some. Next year isn’t terribly far off at this point.

Thanks lefty that would be awesome :sunglasses:

Those Lebanese sound pretty fantastic, and not just for the short finishing time. I’ve been intrigued since I first saw you talking about them.

Wow! As per usual some nice looking bidness there

I’ll be releasing something Lebanese at some point. I have a lot of work to do. I’m hybridizing a couple lines right now and trying to get some hybrid vigor back. Then I’d like to do some selections to pick out the things I want and stabilize it a bit.

But I also have a Black Lebanon x Black Afghan that @Leaf and @Olbrannon had really good results with. I think making F2s of that is going to be my next work with Lebanese.

 had some wild plants this time. Really diggin the mini haze. I think it’s my favorite smoke. Wife likes it a lot too.
