Peyote Purple mutation or stress?

Haii all,

Two peyote purple plants are ongoing in grow tent. Though, one looks very weird and wondering if anyone can tell me if it’s a mutation or caused by serious stress. All inputs are appreciated.
Thank you!

P.S. Both are germinated on the same day and it has been two weeks from the germination date. The bigger one is just drooping a bit but the smaller one has weird growth.

Freak IMHO, looks stout and robust.

Haii @Astrodude ,

Thanks a lot for your reply.
It grows really weird but do you think it will keep growing and flowering later on?
I want to keep it alive and see the flowers of it but it is growing so slow with a mutation that makes me worried. I can barely see a stem on the top of the plant.

Freaks make freakdom, you may get the worst or the best experience. That’s going to survive the leaves are looking like there repairing, there not wilted, thick stems, I think it deserves the effort. I’m sentimental.

That’s nice to hear. I’ll keep it updated with a new topic later on about how this freak goes.
Your input makes me feel more relaxed

But really, thanks a lot!

found a plant growing out doors near my barn, half the plant was outside an inverted tub, blue in color, I went to pull the plant, full of little buds, I was going to transplant it and let it grow into winter indoors. When I moved the tote, the other half of plant had grown inside tub, it was yellow like pollen yellow, it’s buds where white. The plant died and we smoked the rosin made, what a distinctly different flav.

Wow, that sounds like a really interesting thing. I hope this one survives and stood out like your plant before. However, could you make cuttings out of it? or was it impossible to make cuttings of it?

It was before I had the know!

Ahh i see, so still there is a chance to make cuttings out of this peyote freak
Can’t wait to see how this peyote turns out that haha

Thanks a lot @Astrodude !
Appreciate so much haha

I would keep her if you have enough time and space, happened to me but only at the beginning, then it became a “normal” plant … beer3|nullxnull

Those 2 shoots just coming in look like they’ll be ok. Snip the one leaf. It won’t add much to the final product.

Is that a feminized seed? I have a similar plant. (see pics) And while the sister plant to it was perfect in every way along with other plants from same breeder. It was suggested that this might be a case of Colloidal Silver contamination instead of just a genetic abnormality.

@George
It really looks similar to mine haha
It is having new shoots that are getting bigger and bigger so… Def, I’m keeping it haha

Does snipping one of the leaves help faster growth in this case?

@Ayastigi-advsga
Yess, it is from the fem seeds.
They sell as regular as you can still get male time to time, just rare but it’s inbred and selfed at some point of breeding process of Peyote Purple.

@ mongbae I kept it just because it was unique and wanted to see how the twisted freak would progress. It has grown very slow. But since transplanted into a 5 gal it has picked up some new growth. Day 18 and day 25 and at the bottom side by side with its sister plant at day 25. 1/2 the size and 10% the new growth that big sis has. Excuse the messy tent, still havent finished setting it up.

Mine is still slow yet can’t wait to see it grows normal again haha

Hi @mongbae nice start on your grow
I grown the Peyote Purple from Cannabiogen
and I did not have any problem
JUST keep the plant and maybe you will see some fire
old seeds have problem to start some times
like your problem with one plant but keep it 4sure
