Phototrons...SWC/TRON

It’s hard to see, but it looks to me like they didn’t take. You should see all these shiny little black seeds appear up top when they’re ready. I would wait another week or so just to make sure. It usually takes a month after pollinatation for them to appear. Healthy looking flytraps though!

I will try and take a better picture…

Found this on you tube… I also flipped to 12/12 yesterday and will start using bloom mutes on April 1st., I still haven’t mixed the bloom mutes yet been way to busy working on my outside veggie garden.

Trouble in paradise bromigos…I think one of my Phototron ballast is fucked up…3 of my bulbs are out, each bulb puts out 1800 lumens so that means 5400 lumens are missing from this grow…Buts that fine with me because I put in a 6,000 lumen LED plus 2 more compact fluorescent bulbs each equivalent to 100 watts each…

It’s way to late to move into another Phototron because it’s on it’s 3rd. wk. of 13/11 light schedule, give or take a day or 2. My saying is once you give up you admit defeat. Can’t give up on this MTH grow. Everything doing great so far except for my ballast problems.

This MTH is really sucking up the Chicago tap water bigtime. Remember now, I don’t use any meters at all so I don’t know my PH/PPM’S…I just go by the the way my plants look and have been doing it that way for over 19 years.

I also have a small ass Purple Kush strain cross in this Phototron grow but in soil…1st. time I’ve grown SWC/TRON & soil grow in 1 Phototron.

It’s looking good man! Are you still using the BC nutes? Do you like them?

That’s right you have crazy tap water. I’m really glad it works for you. Hauling water is to much. I would do it for maybe one 5 gallon DWC. Not my 2 lol.

Guess what, I borrowed my buddys TDS meter and Chicago tap water is 170 …my small town is 800… I buy my drinking water at one of those outdoor ice and purified water machines and it was 130…I actually checked my girlfriends hometown water from the tap and it’s at 140 and she lives in Rantoul…So from now on I’ll be getting my water in Rantoul.

800 is nuts. I wouldn’t drink it either. Yikes!

The first cool post I saw on OG was from Phil.
Cuts in a DVD case and something aboot a big pond!

Not sure how I missed this grow… Must have been on Vacation.

TDS here is at 450… They are adding plenty to the water not sure if we should be concerned! Good decision on switching your source to the NeXT town over…

I think there was something about this in Michigan. Flint Michigan had tap water that was something of evil proportions.

JST, I was at Walmart and I just couldn’t pass this up so I picked up another VFT…do you think I can put all 3 of them in 1 container? Btw, the 2 I got last year are flowering again…

Yep, you sure can! I’ve been seeing those Rocket Farms flytraps for years and finally bought 3 for myself about a month ago. They’re looking pretty rough atm but that’s to be expected when you transplant them. You’ll be pleased to hear that there are probably more than one in each of those pots, I can spot several growth points and they should divide up when you unpot them. People have been calling those “typical” flytraps, but I’m certain they’re a specific clone and a nice one at that. They get lots of red and pink in the trap interiors and even on the outside. I messaged the company trying to figure out what they are and got no response. I’ve been calling them Rocket Reds.
