Hi. I’m allotment, and I’m a strainaholic. It started when I made an account on OG. I came here to learn more about growing and was confronted with so many strains, crazy community seed runs and people offering seeds to random people out of niceness. Now I want them all. This can’t be right. Please help.

Tonight I would like to talk to you about a different problem.

The urge to pollinate.

Have you ever been awake at night thinking about ways to cross your plants? Create seeds? New strains even?

Have you had unhealthy dreams of gently applying pollen to a flower with a brush? Have you thought about releasing grams of pollen on plants happily receiving it? Have you ditched accumulating precious headstash in favour of creating more seeds than you could ever plant?

Fear not. Our little self help group will be your safe haven. Your secrets won’t leave this community. The confessional seal applies.

I have caught the pollination bug. I do not however see it as a problem. Sure I may get the occasional nightmare of being stuck in a sand storm like in The Mummy but still, it’s worth it. I can admit I have become an addict but hey, at least I can admit it.

Welcome Doug! Speaking of your addiction free of shame is certainly a good thing. What we all have to learn is that this is a lifelong thing we have to deal with. Admitting we are addicts is an important step.

Given my name, i belong here. I’ve been pollen chucking for a while.

I havent chucked many a pollen, but there were a few times…and ever since then I keep thinking about what else can be hit. I’m no stranger to building habits, I can feel the dependence starting to happen.

Hell yeah, but i’m allergic to cannabis pollen. Nice to detect herms like a trained dog, but not much to be covered in the process. But hell yeah, chunking a 5 meter male to pollinate everything around … you will ear me laughing like a damned maniac for sure.

Have you ditched accumulating precious headstash in favour of creating more seeds than you could ever plant?

I can’t, i germinate everything like an obsession. Even when i haven’t any space to grow them, i find a way. The only seeds i can keep stashed is mine, because too much to launch them all.

My more ridiculous habit is to write breeding plans for like … twice my lifespan. So i’m dreaming to make it in my virtual dozen of greenhouses the next day ^^

My main growing goal has been to fill Mrs Foreigner’s jars. Now that’s a secondary concern. I worked with a Bahia landrace, twice, that threw wicked balls each time. I’m a seed maker not a grower.

Now I need to balance both activities.

I’ve got 1/4” of caked on pollen on the sides of my tent.

Hello,I’m hashpants.I self pollinate ,is that wrong?now I’m feeling self conscious.

Sometimes I lay in bed pollinating myself.

Seriously, I can’t seem to restrain myself. I’ve got piles of seeds that I haven’t even germ tested. I start a project and can’t let the extra pollen go to waste. I’ve got pollen on three plants in the tent right now. One of the plants will be harvested a month before the branch with seeds is ready.
