The real Bubba Kush is a seedline. Hence, there is the 93, pre98, and Katsu cut - all from seeds.
I know of two people with the seedline. One is Weed Should Smell Good.
I got two packs of it at Emerald Cup (lost in the fire, of course)

The real Bubba Kush is easily identifiable by its unique bud structure, which is from its Hindu Kush lineage.
It looks like the bracts line up in sacred geometry and point inwards towards the top of the bud

I know NL2 (Hindu Kush x NL) is in the lineage, but it could also be something like NL2xNL1, or NL5xNL2(aka Neville’s NL5) x NL1.
So, it may be something as simple as NL2 x OG.

If you want seeds of Bubba I recommend hitting up Dank.Frank (he has the legit cut and made good S1s) or Katsu’s Katsu x Pre98 cross.
As far as I know, the pre98 cut doesnt have limitations on it, so it can be found - just make sure to verify pics

Heres pre98 Bubba Kush

And here is Hindu Kush, with the same telltale calyx’s that point upward and inward

Here is M33 x NL2

Some years back when I had P98 I bred her to a nice Redneck Koosh ( P98 x Ghash88) from the old Mota Rebel seeds so it would be a BX , if anyone is interested or even better has something to trade I have a few packs I’m sure

I’d be up for a trade how about some grape pie or orange goji or orange goji x amnesia haze?

What it is has always been a highly debated topic. What I have as Matt’s cut (the guy most credit as being the first with it ) looks like the pre 98 and katsu cuts I see pictures of going back to around 2007. I grew some bubba kush clones around 2004-2006 that stayed green and did not fade to any purples or reds like the katsu or pre 98. the plants were very compact with a single main center cola , stacking better then the pre 98 or Matt’s but tasting and smelling almost the same. I wonder if it was the swerve cut or a s1 my buddy grew and kept.l, or maybe I had the bubba before it became bubba kush, or maybe the temps were higher in my rooms back the. Preventing the purps or the nutrients , everything else is the same.

Just wondering, does the Katsu cut involve breeding it to the Rare Dankness #2 ? If I’m not mistaken it’s called Cornbread…
All of this thread has me wanting to run them along with Mark’s shit.

Katsu got the cut from somebody else back in the day and it is believed to be a s1 , there has been a mint, katsu, swerve , original, and pre 98 bubba kush sense back to at least 2006, prior to 2004 I only heard of it called bubba kush. I’d love to find the legit so cal master kush, west coast dog or la confidential but I haven’t seen those cuts around at all.

Ask Bodhi / Plantmoreseeds
I know he worked with socal master kush and the real la confidential / 78 la affie
I heard that what Afficiando worked with was a modern hybrid that got renamed 78 la of affie.

Most breeders aren’t to keen on sharing old elite cuts but it’s worth a shot

Dude, I went M.I.A. Started a new restaurant, neglected my plants and gave most away. I just kinda of kept it barely alive in a hot, dry 90 degree Arizona garage. Finally felt guilty and moved the only female into my little grow box inside. She’s about day 50ish smells a little bit like coffee, earth, and fruit. My yield will be laughable because of my neglect but the buds are some of the densest I’ve ever grown.

Kudos! I was industry for like 18 years. I can’t remember what part of the state you’re from, but maybe I’ll come by and try your spot!
Good to see ya around, and thanks for the bud porn. :bear::+1:
