Im just trying to figure out what @Daytripr69 was saying. He says he made thousands of seed and sent them out for the spring seed box that is MIA with MOTR. Im trying to figure out hows that possible when i believe the first ever release of purple unicorn was april of this year.
Shit. I think i just figured it out. He wasnt talking about making PU seeds. He was just mentioning the seed potential from just a few plants. LOL. Damn conversations in text form can be really misleading sometimes. Lol

If I can find a bud to compliment Cabernet and my Black Death-Berry mead it would be heavenly. Mostly black currant, then strawberry, blueberry, blackberry, raspberry and oh so much honey 16-17%abv

Me too! Big and bold all the way with lots of structure and oak and the fruit to back it up. I love wine so much, but at some point I think I became allergic. I get terrible body aches and feel overall awful if I have any more than a single glass, and even one glass on an empty stomach can ruin me.
Iāve never actually had mead. Iāve ben dying to try it!
Make sure your hydrated, then let the stuff breath! Some of the sulfites can gas out. Some people have issues with the sulfates but itās rare. Commercial mead is all over the place, make sure it says mead, not honey wine lol. Then it comes in sweet to dry, not everything is syrup lol.
Super good to know, I am going to try that soon. I really just love the taste. I know people that ādrinkā would balk at that, but I would drink the stuff if it were non-alcoholic. There is something about the taste of a good red (hard pass on whites). I just never want the flavors to endā¦
Id say go for pepper and more herbal flavored bud, lavender, anise etcā¦ Would be lovely with your mead, me thinks.

Hmm that sounds like a savory style bud, like meat lol. That would prob go well together. Note about my blend. Black currant and all those berries make it very acidic, so even though thereās a lot of residual honey left that wasnāt fermented (roughly a pound per gallons worth) it tastes semi sweet, balanced by the acidic sharpness. Damn I need to bottle this last batch, been aging for a year!
