That really sucks, sorry to hear about all of that. Do you feel like plant disease has become more rampant the last 3-5 years for you or is it typically hit or miss depending on the year? I think Regalia may help with septoria among other fungal diseases if applied as a preventative but I think it can get a little expensive if you are growing a lot of plants.

That’s what I am trying to do in regards to botrytis resistance as well! Too many damn fungal diseases and most cannabis can’t handle it after being bred for flavor, potency, aroma and not disease resistance.

How are your tomatoes holding up in regards to the septoria infection?

Thanks @ElGalloBlanco

Never had septoria as bad as this! I am planning on getting some regalia tomorrow.

The tomatoes are looking really bad as well.

Bummer. I don’t think I’ve seen septoria, and I sure don’t want to. I’ve seen all I need to see.

What causes it? It’s a fungus does moisture help it propagate? Any countermeasures?

Nice way to see it as an opportunity to breed for resistance. I’m sorry man :grimacing:

Fungal thing that is soil borne. The splash back from the heavy rains splashes soil on to the leaves and spreads. Hot and humid spreads it even further along with further rains. Really hard to control. Going to spray regalia today and hope that helps boost the plants immune system.

Damn bro! You are getting the entire basket of tricks thrown at you this year huh? But climate change/global warming is made up :man_facepalming:t2:. I love the idea of turning it into a positive and breeding for resistance. Keep your head up you’ve got this, hate seeing all these gems put through the wringer but in the end it only makes us better growers as we struggle to overcome everything Mother Nature throws at us. :facepunch:t2:

That’s awesome! Nice size on all too! Awesome! You go to a farmers market ? Man I’d love to be able to do that, very cool. Hey you kept that rezzy nl1 right? The male

Yeah, farming is my main income. I have had to take some drywall work recently to help pay the bills. I’ve been doing this for 8 years! All dedicated to preserving heirloom varieties.

Mostly heirloom beefsteaks in the picture! Only $5/lb.

Yeah I have that resin nl1 male. I am about to take pollen from him soon!

Here are the top septoria resistant plants:

Luana (Hawaiian IBL) #4

Freezeland # 1 - pink pistil pheno. I have another one that looks just like it but with white pistils. Same structure, septoria resistance, and flower times.

Vashion Kush # 3 - Purple leaf stem pheno, great tall open structure with zero septoria.

I have another vashion kush that seems to have medium septoria resistance, smaller structure, and faster flower times.

PNWHP x Puck # 4 - High septoria resistance, but still minor damage. Early flower pheno. Big indica bush!

Looks like there is varying degrees of septoria resistance in this line with #4 and #8. Being the best.

Hawaiian cat piss # 16 - Seems like the resistance to leaf diseases is on the indica side more often then not. Must be from the nl1 side, or at least that’s what I am thinking currently.

Will update with more from the other patch!

Awesome! Everything looks great ! I love what you do, truly much respect. Farmers are the reason we have food, can’t say enough how important you guys are. If I had the means and location I’d probs start my own small scale farm, for real. Always wished I had the thought 30 years ago

Yeah I’m kicking myself for not buying a farmhouse and some land 10-15 years ago. Now everything is way out of reach financially. Just renting over here, which is getting very very old. Every landlord loves the idea of a farm until it is in their face. They make you feel guilty for farming because veggie farming doesn’t look like perfect rows of gmo corn….really messed up.

So true. Renting/leasing land always rubbed me wrong because of how much work and effort is put into improving the land and soil and in the end the landlord benefits from it. Of course I have heard of some striking deals where the land can be leased for next to nothing because of this very mutual benefit. Hope you’re able to get your plot soon.

Just did my first harvest of pollen of the resin nl1 male……he dumped a bunch of pollen! I’m excited to use him, and see how he interacts with others! Hoping he passes on resin!

Well crap! Can you tape it together or is it a write off?

I can’t quite make out what’s going on there. I assume a few of those are before pictures and then an after with the main stem folded over? The leaves still look OK maybe splinting to the T post could save her?

Bummer luck man. It’s been a tough season for you but that’s a beautiful farmer’s market table you put together
