These pnwhp x puck are pollen dumpers that hold there pollen sacs very well. Really hard to bend stems as they are rigid and strong. I initially thought these would be very leafy, but they have proven me wrong. Also one of the earliest to flower!

Looking good and hope all is well on the farm! How are you able to keep your pollen separate from your other strains if they are all in the same dungeon? Do you just cut off flowers and let them dry in a separate area? How many females in total are you ending up with outdoors?

It is a tedious task and by no means perfect. There is no air moving around there in the basement. I have the plants of the same variety next to each other in blocks with the furthest along toward the front. So when I collect they get moved into a new section sequentially out of the space to be isolated. I only take the pollen from the tippy tops. I constantly spray everything down with water really well to make sure any contaminated pollen is cleared from the room and plants. By no means perfect, but after F2 ing everything last year and growing them out this year next to breeder packs of the same variety all lines are pure. Just a fun hobby to me!

Everyone is growing like crazy with all this rain we have been getting! Almost lost some plants due to a new neighbor spraying round up. Luckily my partner saw them and immediately started yelling at them. Turned into a constructive conversation. They were trying to take down invasive buckthorn. Regardless, it was 20 mph w winds and we were directly down wind. Glad I didn’t talk to him because it wouldn’t of gone well!!:face_with_symbols_over_mouth::fist_right::skull_and_crossbones:

Looking really healthy and they are taking off!

It’s crazy how readily people will spray something like Roundup (let alone in a high winds!), I wouldn’t use that shit anywhere on my property. Hope they are more conscientious going forward with all the tomatoes and cucurbits you have growing over there, along with the cannabis.

Yeah new neighbor is oblivious type A personality, but makes 6 figures so thinks they do know something.

I think they got the memo about no spraying at least! Frustrating that we have to even say this to people. I guess that’s the way it is when you can buy the shit at practically every box store!

Thanks I’m super stoked to check out the pnwhp x puck this year. I got pretty worried after listening to notsodog on the breeders syndicate talking about his horrible experiences with the puck cut outside. He also said that with some serious breeding that it could improve. Let’s see how crickets and cicadas did on this one. Looks good to me so far and the males have been stellar.

Thanks for checking in!

Freezeland’s are beginning to flower/stretch!

Awesome, I am sure that is not the norm for you up there to begin flower in mid July! Do you expect your Friesland #11 to bush out the way your Freezeland’s are?

Not common in many varieties, but i expect this to happen in any semi-auto flower variety. I have and iranian early flower also flowering like the freezeland/ friesland. They begin to flower during any amount of decreased light.

My friesland was planted about a month behind the freezelands. I’m not expecting it to bush out as much as the freezelands. This is due to the delayed start time and the friesland is not as vigorous as the freeze. Don’t get me wrong still will bush out! I’ll keep you posted!!

That makes sense then, after double checking your photo of the friesland #11, it does look like it can bush out, just hasn’t had as much time as the Freezeland.

Both the number and intensity of those storms was surprising. We had a few here in Georgia that cut visibility to about 10 meters (max). A friend of mine and I got caught in one on our way through town. We actually had to stop and wait it out.
At least one almanac predicted a slightly cooler, but much wetter summer. Condolences to those who have had their work ruined by storms.
