i’m searching for recommendations i supposed to blend a lil bit the mix or just transplant an established plant already to it as a regular transplant im asking going to give a try to some soil got to test and is super soil water only mix of somebody have experience with super soil let me know im willing to learn some new stuff
Not sure I understand your question but that bag of soil in the picture is a water only soil. So it should not need to be amended.
I’m trying a similar type soil
My seedlings and clones are doing just fine after the transplant.
so you transplant straight into it and did not burn the plant or anything??
No it did not have any ill effects on the transplants. Matter of fact 24 - 48 hours after transplant they all showed new growth. They have been living in the new soil for about 10 days and all are happy healthy with no visible signs of over fertilization.
how old was the seedling when transplanted?
Somewhere between just popped up and still has seed hull attached to 5 days old. I’m talking about multiple seedlings from 5 different strains.
You might have to try it and see I know that with the “Subcool Super Soil” mix, you’re only supposed to fill the bottom 1/3 to 1/2 of the pot with the mix, and the rest with a standard potting soil. Never tried this myself, just parroting what I’ve read.
However, the store-bought super soil I’ve tried – Coast of Maine Stonington Blend – is just used as a standard potting soil, fill 'er up. Never had problems with burning on established plants. I’m guessing what you’ve bought is in that end of things.
Is there a back label with more info or a handy website for the brand?
ok got it thanks a lot appreciated got that one free with a buy of anything in the store to test it is kind of expensive here the 1.5cf is 29 dollars
Maybe you should try a little variation of what oranje posted before you jump in with both feet partially based on my limited experience with a different product.
Fill your container 1/2 way with the Sensi soil, put an inch or two of standard potting soil on top of that. Put in your seedling and back fill around it with the standard potting soil. Give it couple of days and see what happens.
