Sent my soil sample off to the lab this morning. I should have the results back in about a week, I’ll work out a soil prescription from there. I was going to amend my soil all at once when there were no plants in it, but decided the plants were getting a bit too big for their 1-gallon pots, so I transplanted them into the beds.
I’m a little nervous about the possibility of spreading the HpLVd to the new plants. There really isn’t a whole lot of research into the spread of the disease in soil, but I did find this quote from the Clean Plant Center Northwest, Washington State University.
When I transplanted, I did remove as much root tissue as possible, but I sure don’t want to use glyphosate to kill my roots. If this crop shows symptoms I will, however, let my beds lay fallow for a cycle or two and just run some autos in the room.
The solo cups continue to flower out. I’m still spraying the yellow cup with CS, but not seeing any male parts yet. I’m not sure if it is genetics, maturity, or the fact that I am spraying it with CS, but this one has more trichomes than any of the others by far.
One silver lining of your troubles is that your outcome regarding the viroid, and it potentially re-infecting the subsequent crop, may help contribute to our understanding and body of knowledge on the subject.
I am definitely getting obsessed with the subject. Check our Joe Ramahi on Instagram or The Future Canabis Project on YouTube. This latest video had two interesting moments for me. One where they said hop latent viroid was likely to be passed in shared beds. The other when they said it is possible to outgrow hop latent viroid with nodal propagation.
I woke up this morning to a bunch of low humidity notifications from my Pulse grow monitor. When I went to check the humidifier, the fan had fallen into the bucket. Luckily the fan didn’t fit completely in the bucket. When I picked it up it was still running, in retrospect, I probably should have unplugged it first. Right now my humidifier is a 5 gallon bucket with a 5-disk ultrasonic mist maker in it. I have a turbo fan sitting on my heater (off right now) pointing at it, this fan is the one that fell in the bucket. I ordered a water proof 120mm fan and will be making some modifications to my setup to accommodate it.
Last night I decided to press the 5.2 grams of Green Crack hash. Even the has was low quality, the press came out dark green like flower rosin and only yielded 24% return on hash. I have seriously had flower yield more. I decided to do a test press on some of the Green Crack flower to see what the yield was like, it was so small I didn’t even bother to collect it.
I also decided to press some Zak Haze flower. That yielded about 7% return on flower. Not great, but much better than the Green Crack. I have higher hopes that this one will yield better when I wash it. The resulting rosin was quite runny, I’m fairly certain this is from the CBG in this cultivar. The effects are just like I remember, I lost track of time and kept forgetting what step I was on in my Lego build.
These two were in this house when I bought it lol The set of cards I have had since I was a kid. They are made by O-Pee-Chee and are actually from 83 .
@ReikoX wondering if you could possibly post your little bubble hash washer ( brand and where you bought it ) as my dumb ass is having quite a time trying to find that info. I know you posted , just can’t seem to find it lol
