ReikoX's Workshop 2022

Finally got around to moving my light over. Now it’s centered better. Did a little bit of plant shuffling while I was at it.

I decided to try a perpetual auto SOG. The plan is to plant one feminized autoflower every week and eventually harvest one a week as well. I’m going to use these 32 oz. Subway cups I’ve been saving. This week is a Fast Buds Mimosa Cake Auto.

These are the four Solo’s Stash that didn’t damp off in that hot/wet soil. Moving along slowly, but gaining some traction now as the root system develops.

Indeed a nice one… Always interesting and inventive… Kudos @ReikoX
Every week might drive me nuts, yet every month sounds appealing… Thanks.

I did a perpetual weekly grow with autos one summer. It worked out well

I am psyched to see your perpetual auto garden! It is always awesome to see you run something, as you usually bring out the best in what you grow! Seeing both a variety of genetics, and their development consistently documented will be a fantastic resource here on OG!

That first pair of photos looks like a bar video game where you spot the differences
I was planning on starting two autos every 2 weeks… But then I planted 5 at once.
It wasn’t even wholly intentional; I was looking through my packs, and it was like I just saw the seeds and forgot the plan :scream::sweat_smile::stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye::bear::purple_heart:

Working on some solventless hash rosin carts. Here is 7 grams of broad spectrum (45-160 micron) hash rosin. It has been decarbing in this sealed container for about 10 hours at a temperature of 150-175°F. I plan to let it go about 24 hours, then I’ll let it cool before opening the lid.

@ReikoX

When you do these sealed rosin de-carbs does the inside of the jar end up being completely coated in condensed rosin?

Or does it end up re-condensing on the main mass (perhaps due do a like sticks to like effect like finger hash, or H2O for that matter)?

If it does condense on the sides, what would you estimate your losses are (maybe as a percent)?

Do you do any kind of clean-up/recovery on the glassware you use? If so what do you use? Ethanol? ISO?

:robot:

PS. I just cut down some girls from an open-pollination of the full-auto fraction of the GWKxJLO pack you sent me. I know you have already made this “G-LO Auto-Reg” yourself, but if you would like any of the beans from my batch just say the word!

They were a nice mix of green and green-Purple plants. Although the stand out frostiest was green only. She is the only one of the group who’s seeds I plan to store separately from the rest. They were fast to finish too, at least when grown consemilla.

Not really, the heat and gravity tend to pull everything downward. The THC isn’t volatile enough to vaporize at 150°F, the bubbling is the releasing of the CO2 molecule on the carboxyl group.

Last time I never measured, but I do get some sticking to the bottom and sides of the jar when I pour off into the syringe. Maybe 5% if I had to venture a guess.

I tend to clean up stuff with ISO and then use that for topical applications.

I actually made mine auto fem, not reg. I would be interested in a pack for future exploration. Hit me up in DM if you need my PO Box.

Things have pretty much been on cruise control for the last week. I will likely chop the autos down some time this week. They are currently at day 80, just over 5 weeks since they were pollinated. The seeds should be pretty ripe by now.

The little auto SOG is chugging along. Planted another Mimosa Cake Auto this week. That GWK is also ready to come down, along with the GLo F2 bonsai (not shown).

I’m having a bit of a debate on how I want to process these autos. Basically I’m asking myself if I want to do a proper dry/cure with these or if I want to simply quick dry them and harvest the seeds. On the one hand, I have never tried these before. So smoking a sample of each plant would helpful if something interesting pops up from these seeds. On the other hand, I rarely smoke flower and have several jars full that I wont get to any time soon. I could make some dry sift, but that would be a mix of all the plants and again I wouldn’t be able to sample individual plants.

You could also dry/cure a small sample, say the most prime top cola cut, of each plant, while bulk processing the majority. That way you can identify any with standout taste/power while still processing the bulk of the material quickly….
