I wonder what Binford sells to mix a thick slurry of mimosa hostilis root bark with lye water.

That thing is a beast. I usually only mix a gallon at a time.

Yea but now you can do 50

You could use it to aerate your res. That would be sweet.

I need it.

I used to mix my nutrients in my res using a hand drill attached to an arrow with zip ties clamped down to act as fins or whatever. This caused a giant whirlpool and made me very happy.

I’ve always be obsessed with vortexes. When I was a kid I would sit in my bathtub watching the whirlpool until the water drained out. Then when I was in grade school were were learning about black holes, and I suggested that there might be one in the center of the Milky Way because it looked like the suds around the drain in my bathtub. The substitute straight up made fun of me in front of the class. Then about 6 years later NASA found a supermassive black hole in the center of the Milky Way.

The spiral of the Milky Way wasn’t caused by the black hole though. It was just a coincident. But still!

What a failure at life.

I always felt that way, but then I dated a substitute. Honestly it’s a pretty sweet job for people with unorthodox lifestyles. They send you a list of jobs and you pick if you want to work the next day or not. The pay isn’t great, but it isn’t horrible either. It would work well if you traveled a lot, had a little side company that you were trying to grow or were doing something that might need a fulltime fallback eventually.

Looking nice bud. Look at all those bud sites. What are these?

Thanks! The two middle rows are Grumpz, and the outside rows are Gary Payton / Cereal Milk x Grape Gasoline.

I moved my AC tube from laying between the tents on the ground to blowing behind my res. I noticed that the plant closest to the air was doing the worst. During the summer it’s fine, but during the winter it’s freezing the plants. Also since the canopy of the older crop is so thick, it’s keeping the cold air trapped at the root zone and the colas are getting blasted with heat from the lights. I’m not sure why I never thought to do this because it keeps the res cool.

Everyone knows it’s just God’s gargantuan magnetic stir mixer at work there

Binford Lightspeed

Plants are looking good filling the net out. Really like your setup and all the attention to detail

I decided to get some Canna Aqua bottles. I can’t imagine buying jugs getting too problematic in my 2x2. I think the liter bottles are going to last a few months for my micro setup.

haha.

Thanks. I’m hoping this works. The last week or so I’ve been trying to figure out the best watering schedule. I’m probably going to have to increase the number of cycles, but right now they are getting a really nice dryback from about 8pm to 11am. The EC is arching back up for a couple of hours before the mornings feeding. I’ve also been manually flooding the plants a few hours after the lights come on. It seems to be working.

I think I might throw an extra plant into the tent and use the moisture sensor to find out what percent the plant starts to wilt. The coco naturally holds about 65%, and I’ve been letting it dry to the around 33%. Back when I watered coco once a day, pots of big flowering plants would be almost completely dry in the morning. The plants never wilted, but they were probably stressed. I wonder where the line is.

Nice. I’ve never tried that kind.

I purchased some (2) of the Chinesium EC/Moisture sensors from AliExpress (I think $40 each). Looking forward to playing with those but don’t think they’ll arrive for a few more weeks. They are probably on a paper boat drifting across the Pacific as I write this. I’ll just hook them to my PC and make a crude datalogger.

We’ll see how my ride with Canna goes :crossed_fingers:
