I would love to own an Amsterdam style coffee shop. Sell coffee and bud while hanging out all day smoking and chatting. I would start roasting my own espresso beans and making chocolate from scratch to sell on the side. It could totally be possible if the government wasn’t so corrupt. Maybe one day.
I just got this tea kettle delivered, but to be honest I liked the way I was doing it because it killed two birds with one stone.
Look at how deeply amber this turned out. I’ve never seen it this dark without waxing up. This is super hard. I’m intrigued.
I took these picture before I pruned some of the branches on the right plot. They are growing fast. I noticed some preflower action going on too.

What nutes do you run?
Not being familiar with espresso what temperature do you target with the water? For conventional brewing it matters quite a bit but do you just use boiling for espresso?
Do you have a microscope for looking at the shatter? I’ve always wondered if the THC crystallizes.
The espresso machine has a heating element to maintain the temp, but you have to add hot water. There are three setting. I think it goes from 195 to 204. The low end is for dark roasts because they are more porous and extract easier. Since I’m drinking medium / light roasts I add boiling water and it balances out by the time I pull the shot.

It must crystalize when it’s in the shatter form. I wonder what it looks like when it’s half waxing up. Now I need a microscope.

Have you uploaded any videos? I’d like to see some crystals forming.
I do have a couple rosin videos on youtube.com/@hashmatty but they are only hour long sessions. It took 24 hours for the crystals to start forming, and it accelerated from there. So that’s just a series of photos. Cause my stupid microscope would overheat if I left it on recording for 24 hours. Usually I can see small crystals within 10min, so it was extraordinary.
I’m running Floraflex. Just the two part, not the Full Tilt or anything. I was thinking about adding silica back to the mix though. I used to run like 15 extra additives. I’ve tried a few different nutrient brands. I like Floraflex, but I also really like Canna AB. Out of everything it gave me the least amount of problems. It was just annoying to buy giant jugs of it every few months.

Darkfield biological scope I bought…sooo long ago, with an amscope mu1003B attached. The nvidia rtx card does the x256 encoding for the 4k videos. hahhah the problem is my scope is so old it uses a halogen bulb.

One thing I’ve been wanting to get is a magnetic stirring heat plate to mix my nutrient concentrate. I used to have one, but I tried to Tim “The Toolman” Taylor it with more power and killed it.
I’m sure we can get a bigger and better one, let me ask the boss.
