This thread needs my theme song. (lusid with the lid off)
I lowered the nets today. They are still small, but there are a lot of plants, so it shouldn’t take long to fill out.
I put timers on the lights today. One plant in the back in looking a little rough, but the rest are looking great. If they stretch much they will run out of room. I am probably going to have to lollipop and maybe defoliate because they are super dense bushes.
I flushed them all really well earlier. I think I need to hand water the top blocks about once a week or they start to build up salts due to them being wicked by the bottom block and drying quickly.
Weekly top feed with plenty of runoff or flush is a must with rockwool in my experience.
The net is really low because the plants were so small, so it’s hard as hell to do any sort of work under there. I’m going to have to rig up a watering pole because it about broke me earlier. Lollipopping is definitely going to be a nightmare. The trays make it tough as is. I miss slithering around between pots of coco. Well aside from one time when in the back all contorted and saw wolf spider run by. There was no quick or easy way for me to get back out. I hate wolf spiders.
Ditto on the once a week hand watering. I find it keeps my plants in blumats happier as well
Hey guys! On an unrelated note, does anyone know how to get a Wolf Spider avatar?
Like instead of a giant blue thing you’re a wolf and a spider?
Do you have 8 wolf legs or 4 spider legs?
Do you have spider eyes or wolf eyes or both?
That’s sick
That’s funny because this was my avatar on rui for the first 5 or 6 years and I used it for all of my art stuff back in the day. It was one of my first photoshop works.
Seems fairly amateur compared to mine ,but you do you bro.
My dog has hunted them since I got him. He is the king wolf. Then my cat started getting in on the action once I got him. Now I have a private security detail working shifts to keep this household wolf spider free.
No disagreements here. I thought that was a photo when I first saw it. Respect to the craft mastery.
Yes its a master reproduction of an actual photo of a real Spider-Wulf
The plants made it through their first night. The temperature hasn’t been getting high enough the past few days, even though I turned up the lights and the weather has been warmer. I was perplexed until I realized I had my exhaust set to turn on when it reached 70% humidity. I think that’s why I’m seeing some purpling. The leaves felt downright cold.
I’m definitely going to do some pruning tomorrow or I’ll have an unruly jungle in a few weeks.
Well that sucked, but at least I’m done. I may defoliate a little, but I’m going to see how much they start to stretch first.
For some reason I positioned the spots for the sprayers too far back, making me cram the plants toward the back a little. When the plants are taller I can spread them out better, but these little stout ladies are leaving a lot of space up front. The trays I use as lids are cheap, but cutting them is tough. Maybe I can figure out how to attach a movable piece to adjust the sprayer positions.
