One week down. I hand watered them today. The max saturation topped out at 67% and quickly dropped down to around 56%. So I’m going to use 56% as my max number to calculate dryback percentages.
These plants are super thick. They are a little dark, so I mixed up a res of low EC to flush them a bit and align with a shot of PK to keep happy.
I keep forgetting to take a picture, but some of the plants are growing thorn looking roots off of the lower stalk. It’s like they think the air inside of mist box is some sort of ultra loose soil.
I like the idea of posting a picture of the Pulse data along with the plants, because while I have an endless log on the app, matching it up with daily pictures will give me an overall summary when I look back on a grow. It will be a lot easier for me to figure out when went wrong if things start to go sideways. Or if I have an exceptionally nice run.
Maybe I should start showing the graphs instead of just the numbers, because they only apply to the moment I took the screenshot and not throughout the rest of the day. I guess I can go back on the app and look if I want more details. Either way, this should be helpful.
It just seems like anytime they flower this quick something is up. One of the plants was a runt and I hacked off most of its branches to let it reach the canopy. I pulled one plant from the same row early on because it had root rot. I might just be paranoid, but I’m going to watch them like a hawk.
This is kind of good in a way because I still have all 5 female Grumpz mothers. So if this row acts goofy from here on out the mother is dead. If it happens to be a quick maturing strain then I’m running it forever. It’s forcing me to make a move. Some of my other strain’s mothers are still in the pheno hunt process, and they are just hanging out needing watering everyday until I run them again and make choices.
Did you get any snow up your way, Nope? We were supposed to get a “blizzard,” but it turned to rain hovering just above the freezing point. I was expecting to wake up to a winter wonderland, but instead if was hypothermia inducing rain and mud. I haven’t been that bummed since I was a kid.
Nice. That’s something I’ve always wanted to do. We don’t get enough consistent days of cold for ice to be safe enough. I’d also like to skate around on a frozen lake. I’d like to move to Alaska for a winter just to experience the full on version.
About the same, but the numbers are looking nice. I noticed since I haven’t defoliated hard the humidity is staying a lot higher than normal. This leads me to believe that defoliating in the summer is probably more beneficial than in the winter.
Tomorrow I’m going to clone for the second tent to get my perpetual action going again. I’m going to run half Grumpz and half Gary Payton / Cereal Milk x Grape Gasoline.
On the next run after that I’m going to get back to the final selection of pheno hunting some of these mothers. I haven’t grown anything aside from those two strains in over a year. I think I’ll always grow half a tent of Grumpz from now on. I love it very much.
Isn’t it amazing how despite growing indoors the weather greatly effects our indoor grows. I know we’ve discussed it before, but it’s very interesting. I imagine it’s an issue unless you are running fully sealed
Yep. It’s hard to deal with because the humidity inside of the house is low, but the tents are almost at the same % as the wet outside.
I was struggling to get humidity up when the plants were small and they weren’t helping at all. Now that they’re bigger they helping too much. They at the mercy of the environment until they get big enough to start manipulating it. That’s interesting.
