Rocket Seeds and Crop King seeds apparently selling counterfeit product

Check out all the names these shysters use in the post by LemonadeJoe , I have gotten all sorts of those pins when I bought stuff from them years ago. Trinkets and trash, gotta give big ups to marketing.

In all honesty
unfortunately I have tried some of there strains.
After trying quite a few of them I feel I can post my opinions.

Hashplant feminized - It was okay, decent growing plant. Not strong as fuck, although some people said it was killer that I gave it to, I didn’t think it was as potent as other strains I could attain so I discontinued it.

Gelato feminized - Hermies
 enough said. Waste of time.

Blueberry regular - Took me 15 seeds or so to get 2 females that would actually grow as a plant.

Skunk regular - Got 1 female that grew decent colas
hard to clone (not a fast rooter)
the smoke wasn’t very potent at all
not great of a taste. Had some nice red colouring to it in flower though. Still have a clone but thinking of discontinuing
I’d rather make room for something better.

Afghani - 1 female out of 5
grew decent sized buds
didn’t knock me on my ass
 taste wasn’t great
I discontinued that plant as well

White widow - All 5 were males.

I also tried White widow feminized from “Sonoma”
they all failed terribly.
I tried another strain from sonoma as well but can’t remember what it was now

I believe Sonoma seeds is affiliated or basically the same company as CKS.

There are others I tried, just can’t remember them all
not worth the time to grow at all in my opinion.
Only reason I tried these is cause my local hydroponics store has them in stock an they were kinda last minute purchase an for shits an giggles to see what happens. Everything people say negative is true in my opinion about CKS.
I will never try any again. You only live so long, don’t waste your time on these is my personal opinion.
So many other selections to choose from that will have better results!
I don’t like giving negative reviews at all
but in this case I have no choice otherwise I would be a liar.
I will say again I only got them cause they were obtainable in store locally.

Edit: The money I wasted on these, I could have spent somewhere else and have obtained several keepers!

Rocket seeds chatster says its propaganda and they are contracted to sell Blimburn seeds. I sent Blimburns website addy for the warning, Maybe Blimburn didn’t read his contract? Or Rocket is brazen and completely above the’ minor breeder details ’ who knows. I’ll avoid all parties involved.

Weird situation. As far as I’m aware, blimburn has a fairly good reputation, and rocket/CKS already have shitty ones. Hope we can get the truth out of someone.

yep the legal system, the native system and the fully integrated internet black market here, leaves very little trust and honesty in the Canadian Cannabis Seed market. I have only ever bought from breeders or seedbanks who were around before legalization.

Of course they say they are contracted, I highly doubt you will find any scammer just saying “yeah, we are ripping them off”. I created this thread 7 months ago and the warning is still up. It also says they are using Blimburn packaging with non-genuine seeds inside. This is not a simple contract issue when talking about selling the non Blimburn seeds in Blimburn packaging. Blimburn has been around for 19 years and has a good reputation. Check out all the names they are hiding behind and the info from LeomadeJoe about their coming to this site with multiple sock accounts.

You can believe what you want and deal with or don’t deal with whoever you choose but personally I have no reason to not trust Blimburn. I have never heard a bad word about them. Certainly cannot say the same about Rocket Seeds.

don’t worry @DougDawson I share your opinion of Crop King, since I saw their product swamp previously ‘clean’ hydroponic stores here a few years ago
saw the raw marketing pressure their wholesaler put on their retail partners. Since looming legalization approached, some of the european seed makers/breeders/ distributors partnered up with legal producers (LP’s) in order to access the upcoming legal rec. market. DNA genetics for example
signed on with Tweed and immediately ceased selling their seeds directly to Canadian consumers, and all the cdn seedbanks had just remaining stock. So if you want legit DNA genetics here, only authorized canadian distributor is Tweed 4 fems at a time. If Blimburn wants to spar with a huge illegal Canadian distributor (and 2 guesses where the paper trail ends up) despite the fact he is not legally allowed to sell here, well I can see why he is pissed and more importantly do ya think Crop (derp) King really gives a shit. They are pretty much untouchable because of who is at the top of the distribution network here. Pretty much boils down to politics. In the end the honest overseas seedbreeder and the Canadian growing public suffer, but hey we were roadkill in the new legalization regime anyhow. Fucking sucks how beneath cartel behaviour Trudope Tweed and the rest are behaving.

I Love Growing Marijuana and rocket seeds are a couple more white label company’s stealing genetics from real breeders. if no one brought them up yet. I was naïve enough to buy from ilgm a couple years ago and got orange bud, super lemon haze and og kush fem 5 packs grew all of them and only one super lemon and only one orange bud was ok i guess, no terps just a boring high but ok looking plants. all og kush’s were mutant herming nightmares. it was such a waste of time but a lesson learned fuck all those companys sourcing fake genetics! I then found out about true breeders and trusted seed banks that understand the importance of true genetics. just thought id let that out !

Growers choice seeds is the same type deal as crop king. Shitty genetics with lots of marketing and SEO to fool noobs.

GLG for the win! Love those folks!

Not surprised; regardless of where they’ve been operating from, it was obvious they were a white label seed company.

I wouldn’t care if they made it clear that they were selling bulk seed and their prices were low, but these companies always prey on newer growers who don’t know where else to get seed with high prices and flashy packaging/marketing materials.

Edited, question solved.

Sorry to hear about that, I’m in California and had a local hydro store (now closed) that was going to start carrying rocket seeds (they even gave me a catalog, lol).

I was able to convince one of their long-time employees that it wasn’t worth doing, they had a word with their boss, and it ended up not happening thankfully.

Their catalog has a bunch of nonsense that makes it obvious something is wrong, like listing the same strain under two different brands with different flowering times, potency, and descriptions listed.

Can you elaborate on the Coastal Mary and ILGM link please?

I don’t think ILGM is the same company; they’re just also a white label European seed company. I even grew their stuff years ago (gave away the last of the seed I had from them on here, even) when I didn’t know any better, it’s not inherently junk but it’s not worth what they’ll charge you for it.

Agree, ILGM is the same to like Nirvana Seeds in my mind. I’d trust them if you want something mainstream Dutch but I don’t know about the new age stuff they sell. They’re Banana Kush ain’t bad, MK Ultra is good, but that’s the kinda strains I’d buy at ILGM, not stuff like cookies crosses or newer age stuff
