Seed Banks - Who can we trust?

I wish I could, but sadly my states laws on outdoor growing make that impossble for me to do legally. You need a Locking greenhouse that you can not see through the sides or ends at all. If they can see the plant you are in violation of the law. I dont have a green house at all let alone one with only glass on the roof, so growing outside wont work for me. Hell I didnt even think of growing until my state went legal lol.

Ok, so can you tell me how to do a photo, Indoors, seed to harvest, in 3 months or less please? I have some photo seeds that came with my order of autos, I just put them into cold storage in the fridge and planted my autos. Autos just seem so much simpler to me. But I could have gotten bad information.

I have a light timer, similar to this, I am going to get a digital as soon as money allows because the one i have is a total pain in the ass to change the schedule on it.

At 30 days, flip to flower, grow strains that require less flowering time. It’s pretty simple. Run coco/hydro, you’ll have bigger plants in a shorter time period. Just because it’s an auto doesn’t mean it’s going to take 3 months and boom done.

I’m being serious here when I say you should probably read a basic book on growing cannabis

MOB is a quirky plant, her structure and growth isn’t like a lot of others, you can’t really miss her. She’d be a damn tough plant to fake once you’ve gotten to know her. As would many other elites. Spend enough time with a plant and you notice her subtle differences.

Which is why I’d speculate that most white label seeds are based on the original genetics. Abnormalities or frauds often get exposed with enough people growing it, that’s never good for business.

Autos, there’s so much more murkiness in that world. At the same time, I’ve grown autos from some of the companies people like to bash and found them to be quite nice in many cases. I hold the Z cut, “allegedly”, and I grew out some seedsman autos that resembled the cut shockingly well. The looks, structure, smells and demeanor were all similar. I grew a bunch of other strains that I found to be similar in the sense that they gave me a solid representation of what I would expect from the strain. Some plants being better, some worse, with some outliers in both directions.

Whether it’s a random pollen chuck, or a master breeder working a line to perfection, I think in most cases people are trying to make something great with what knowledge and materials they have to work with. Your results will vary, and both will have hits and misses.

Let’s not forget… Some of the most famous breeders out there have made seeds for others to sell under their brand, and/or have had others make seeds for them to sell.

Really what it comes down is understanding as best you can who and where your seeds are coming from in order to give you the best chances of a positive outcome.

admittedly, I am going by my first and only auto, and i am fairly sure since its flowering already at 32 days that it will be done by next this time next month, but that is just a guess.

Your plant has at least 2 months of flower growth until harvest in case you’re wondering. If you pick early and have a extremely fast blooming plant maybe you could get that down to 45 days

ahh, see that I didnt not know that. I thought the 8 to 10 weeks listed meant seed to harvest.

Sir, I’m sorry, if someone had a strain that finished flower in 30 days from the first sign of it starting to get ready to enter flower, they’d be incredibly rich.

Well, I am still learnin lol

To be fair, people have been telling you this but you’ve been telling them you know better.

Honestly at this point, I think half or more of what I thought i Knew was wrong lol

You’re plant looks nice and healthy, but you need to reign in your expectations of autos, imo. There are a lot of extremely knowledgeable people around here, it’s a pretty great place

I went into planting on Dec 16th figuring it would be ready for harvest by march 16th. I thought, at the time, that was a reasonable expectation based on what i have saw and read. Is a 3 month turn around realistic?

Yes but it looks like you have a 4 month auto most likely. And a 90 day plant will not get very big

Well, I guess it will be done when its done right?

Yes it will, best way to look at it. Once you run photos and find a plant you like and take clones you’ll be able to time it better.

I only have one tent, I dont have a place to keep a mother or a seperate flower tent. So even if I do find a plant I love clones are not gonna be possible.
