Yes it will, a stem with a leaf attache to it is more than enough, it will go thru a cleaning process that involves chlorine, alcohol and another series of elements that will purify the cut and make it an 'explant", at which point you put it in the agar jello with your macro and micro nutes. I am still reading a lot about it, but in general that is how it works.
I have been invited to a Farm in Costa Rica that produces one million plants “in vitro” a year, i spoke to the owner and he invited me over to check it out for myself and even told me: I will give you enough to get started. I did tell him it was to make a Genetic Library of marihuana strains for future purposes, but that i also had a little grow going.
