I’d do a slurry test, but just a quick glance with my eyes squinted says they are starving out from low EC? They don’t look like they are in high EC shock.

That makes sense joe, i havnt been feeding these ladies due to me thinking they were overfed. Also last time i had issues like this i think you told the same thing and i upped my feed and the problems went away.

Im gonna give them a full dose of nutes. The gelatos seem to be going pale, thats a sign of hunger?

If they are losing color and shine on the leaf I would say it’s hunger for sure. If they combine that with down turned leaves it’s usually root bound, and that starts from the bottom up.

The leaves do seem a bit perky plus they were just transplanted into 3 gals so yeah sound hungry. Probably should flip really soon before they outgrow their pot.
I dont know how big a plant can grow in one of these 3 gals but i dont want to find out the hard way lol

You think topdressing some dr earth 5-5-5 would be a good idea? I would still be feeding nutes as well.

I don’t think it would hurt them, because top dressing is usually slow release.

Yea thats what i was thinking throw some of that on there as a backup of sorts while i start to feed.

Hey @JoeCrowe another thing i wanted to get your opinion on is what size pot would you run indoors? I know your dwc indoors/organic outdoors but im just curious on if these 3 gals could possibly be too small for some genetics after 4 months of growing. The 5 gals use up a lot of soil and last few times i use them i didnt notice a ton of roots after harvest (2 month veg)

I always run 5gal/20 liter indoors! Same with the living soil outdoor that’s in 5gal/20 liter hydraulic buckets. they can get rather large and still be OK in the bucket.

How long do you veg for in the 5 gal?

oo good question, but I think about a month and perhaps a little bit more for slower growing plants.

Million crazy questions incoming

How large are your plants after a month in the 5gal, are they anywhere near the thunder dome plant size?
How long were they vegged before transplant into 5gal?
How long do you aim to veg for total from seed to flip?

From seed I add another month… depending on growth habit. Takes a while to sex 'em, and I don’t usually grow the seedling, I usually clone it first. I start out in 5 gal and end in 5 gal. Probably as tall as me like 6 foot sometimes(depending on strain) from the bottom of the roots to the top of the plant. I bloom them usually when they are 3ft/90cm.

Good info right there. So 2-3 months should be plenty of veg time.

Now im wondering what would happen if i took 2 clones and put one in a 3 gal and 1 in a 5gal and vegged for 2 months and then compared.
I wonder if they are like some fish and only grow to the size of their container?
I wonder if the only difference will be that the 5 gal still has room for more growth at the end of the 2 months.
Ill be expermenting in no time here lol.

Dry tent has been hanging out around 50% RH, some spots are drying faster then others but oh well. Still pretty moist but most of the fan leaves that were left are now crispy for the most part. I need to learn how to nail the dry and cure, gettin there tho.

Heres the veg tent. Just fed them 1.0 ec nutes

@Crafty_Flame kitchen sinks doing very well. Day 17 since sprout, need to transplant soon

Joe so once the tent opens up and it doesnt smell like hay then its time to start feeling a few buds?

Do you pull them once the stems snap or how exactly do you know when the dry is over before its too dry? I remember you saying something about the bud being squishy and not wet nor dry i believe?
