"I think that I have mentioned this before, G13 and Hash Plant were cuttings. I crossed HP to NL1, which was the strongest indica I’ve ener smoked and I put males from this to G13.
It was labeled HP1.G13. People have assumed that this was a straight HPxG13 cross, but this was not the case. Their was NO sativa in this hybrid which was sent far and wide.
If you were looking for pure indica, this was the one. If a good breeder kept this pure he should have been able to pull most indica types out of this. That was my intention."
Hope it helped some, was stoned so I forgot to add the two screens from the catalogue I referred to. One is ”Hash Plant pure” and the other has HP x NL1 and G13 x HP where the information regarding the pure Hash Plant isn’t mentioned but to make ”G13 x HP F-1 Hybrid” he first had to make pure Hash Plant which he also says started with pollinating the Hash Plant female clone with NL1 pollen.
I have a good idea what to do to fix the potential problem if the screenshot is true… a couple acutally. I’ll fill in the gaps as we watch them grow. I have a feeling his is going to be a long ride.
If anyone has their own experience growing either the F1 original stock or the re-released verson then please dont hesitate to chime in here as the light you shed may direct a much more clear path. Thanks again @StocktonT for the info.
@V4vendetta the only way to know is to grow the seeds, everything else is just speculation so you’re on your way of finding out if it’s a good one for you or not. I never grew any of the G13 Hash Plant or successive generations and versions like Sensi’s or any other so I can’t help. I only posted one source of the variety and I am pretty sure that The Seed Bank was the source for Sensi, they bought The Seed Bank in 1990/91 and Nevil said he made seeds for them for a brief period of time when he came back to Holland. Sensi Seed Club was the name in the 80s but after they acquired Nevil’s company they became Sensi Seed Bank.
@anon5325009 I don’t understand your comment but you agree that Mr Nice from Sensi Seeds derives from The Seed Bank’s variety G13 Hash Plant F-1 Hybrid. The post says the Mr Nice version is not as good as the original, can’t really see it saying anything else. I agree that the NL1 hybrids were very good, I never tried the HP x NL1 but I tried G13 x NL1 and hybrids made with it as well as later White Widow x NL1 which was a good one too.
hahaha yea that was my point too haha. Well like I said, you will soon find out, growing things is the real fun in cannabis anyways, even the things you don’t like will add to the experience. It all depends on expectations. The best of luck with the plants!
looking at the pictures (me not at all being any kind of hash plant or g13 specialist) the one you say is your favorite looks really promising, looks like a real nice plant!
hahaha yea, I am older than the variety but not old enough to have grown it in the 80s. This is the thing with many of the old classic varieties, we can try versions of them now decades later, sometimes there’s still gold in those lines so don’t be to depressed over one post on a forum 11 years ago, like I said, soon you will know firsthand, the best way.
