Yep, probably going to start them with some takeaway tek in the next couple weeks. Ordered some Pereskiopsis to try grafting a couple seedlings to depending how many of them germinate :+1:

My Pereskiopsis Etsy order arrived today, just potted it up. Looks to be in good shape and not even a single leaf fell off in transit. They even sent a bonus un-rooted cutting and a mini plant pot!

Quick veg update.

Gave them their first small prune (mostly just removed some fan leaves and lower growth). Also gave them a bit heavier of a tie down, internals should start to fill out more now

They’ll be moving from the veg tent to the flower tent over the next couple days. I’m sure they’ll enjoy the extra space and better lighting!

Cheers, we’ll see how even it is after they’re in flower. I have absolutely no idea what kind of stretch they got in em :joy:

Thanks @Budderton, the Slush is actively competing with the Shoreline for who stinks most :joy:, glad my filter still has some legs on it!

Vacuumed, dusted and wiped down the flower tent. A couple months late, but hey, we’re on stoner time round these parts.

Plants are happy in their forever home, just need to let the canopy fill in a little while longer and away we go. Looking forward to flowering these things soon!

Morning folks!
Looks like Pereskiopsis, who I’m going to name Perry from now on is settling in with a tiny bit of new growth starting.
Threw the cutting in some water, should hopefully root in a few days

I wonder if his haircut in this photo is the Roger Staubach or the rookie Roger Staubach

Hard to say, gotta keep it recognizable for the customers after all.

Watch out for those little spines under the leaves, they tend to enter your fingers by the dozen

Looking forward to some grafting action!

lmao, I found that out while potting it! It gained my respect quickly. :joy:

Probably going to drop the seeds over the next few days.

Cheers, looking forward to having some new cactus friends! :cactus:… your thread may or may not have tipped me over the edge

Even after pereskiopsis grow the larger black spines the little ones remain, be forewarned.

Grafting to a root stock so thin poses a few challenges but in my experience some saran wrap, and even the non-namebrand kitchen film equivalent, is excellent for securing the scion to the root stock and attaches neatly to the larger spines.
