also, I pulled a seed from one of the females last night to check ripeness… looking very good I must say.
Day 54 of 12/12 today so we are getting real close!!!
I think I put a fair amount in each pack so that it could be cut in 1/2 or 1/4’s , depending on the scale of ones pollination plans. The paper flaps are 3.5 inch squares so are easy to duplicate.
If pollinations are planned in the next 3 months I would put it in the fridge. Anything longer than that I would put in the freezer. Sealed with dessicant is a good idea
Definitely place it in the freezer. It will only last a week or two at room temp, possible a month or so in the fridge, but should be viable for a few years in the freezer.
And, if you want to use it for several projects in the future, I suggest you divide it up into several individual containers.
Everytime you thaw the pollen out, which you have to do in order to use it, it will harm the vitality of the pollen.
So sperate it into small containers, stick em in the freezer, and when you need some you’ll then only need to remove 1 container allowing the rest stay frozen.
please send me your details for the next batch of cards
cheers everyone and have a great day!!
