Has anyone used silicone gloves for trimming?
I just got some and they seem great, but there is a slight softness it adds to my hands. It’s almost like there is a residue on them. It reminds of various flesh oriented items that are marketed to men.
Alternatively, i can use nitrile gloves, but they get a bunch of stuff stuck to them. this silicone should leave all the resin on the plant.
perhaps so, but i have little experience with all that. lol. I just asked the GF, a nurse, who uses a lot of gloves. she said I needed to wash them before using them.
i don’t mind wet trimming with bare hands, but invariably i will touch my eyes at some point. that is not fun. i don’t dry trim much, but each bud has to be handled. that didn’t seem like something i should do with my bare hands. also, people eat the weed. if i can say it’s never been touched that’s a plus.
i think most disposable gloves for medical use or otherwise have something, maybe corn starch, on them. i don’t mind washing these silicon ones once…it did come from a factory.
I use Nitrile gloves that I get from the hospitals I work in. There is usually a polymer coating on the inside or they were exposed to chlorination. Nothing that I have ever really even noticed nor had to clean before use. Corn starch is more for latex gloves that are not really used much these days.
google says something similar. well, i am waiting to hear back from the guys i got the silicon gloves from. they might still be ok. i’ve got the nitrile too.
