With autos, it seems like the best way to go would be to pop the seeds and put them right into a 5/7g pot. They’re going to start flowering by week 3 or 4 anyway, and if you transplant them when they start getting too big for the 1g pots they’ll end up going into flower at the same time they’re going through transplant shock after being rootbound. They get stunted, and yeah, you get better yields from photos at that point since you can control them better. Even photos don’t last much longer than a month, maybe two in a 1g pot before they start running into trouble… but they’ll give you time to help them get out of trouble before sprinting on ahead into traffic.
Luckily, with a max plant count of 0 it’s kind of a nonissue… I guess? I don’t know which way I’d go with a plant count of 6, which is the boilerplate for every Dem state that’s legalized homegrow.
Compensating for the pitbull? 
Great idea. I was thinking of doing pretty much the same thing, only using worm castings in the “pocket”, since I’ve read here on OG that some folks use the worm castings to germinate.

As of this morning the Lebanese I put on castings has an inch of taproot! Finally getting going on the Leb!
Got some running around to do but will be in soil in an hour or so and will do a pic update.
Worm casting method for the win! That’s a mason jar lid since I only had the one seed to do. I scooped all the castings around the seed and tail and planted the whole thing. Fingers crossed!

I’ve been so busy lately I’m not spending enough time on them. I have discolorations and clawing going on that I need to reign in. I had dimmed the light some but then turned it back up so that could be the reason for the clawing, that or the fan. Speaking of fan it’s squeaking so I’ll let you guys know how the Super Lube I have leftover from doing shocks on my truck works for it

I put the whole thing in a ziploc on top of my fridge and covered it to keep it dark. I remembered hearing someone swear by top of the fridge for some reason so I went with it. I couldn’t remember to put a heating pad under it like I should have so the fridge was the next best thing.
I dig the little Holmes blizzard fans. Been using them since 2017. Hope she lasts for ya.

Lets start with the Lebanese since it’s been such a saga trying to get one going. She is looking happy and healthy so far. @Cormoran note that the soil isn’t saturated despite watering a minute before taking the pic @darkillusion it’s up and running!
Here’s the Trizzler’s thick sexy self. I’ve never had a plant grow so short and compact before so it’s pretty neat. She can’t even be a foot tall but the bud sites are plumping really nice.
Ghost Rose x Cookie Devil with putting on the height in comparison even in a smaller pot. I’ve got some kind of deficiency going on with her I haven’t been able to tackle yet. It’s not too bad but it’s present.
Bruce Banner with some stretch to it. I’m going to start insulting it’s mother regularly and see if I can make her switch to hulk mode.
I recently chopped the silver treated Pennywise from my last grow so that opened up a 2 gallon pot for another auto. Not the easiest choice cause I have a ton of autos I want to get to but it’s been forever since I had some NL so I put an Aurora Borealis auto bean in a paper towel earlier. I am completely spacing on the kind OGer who sent the AB my way but if anyone has any idea who it was let me know so I can give some credit! I’m thinking @TestOfOath or @Oldtimerunderground?
Also updated smoke report on the Ghost Rose from my last grow (it’s an auto so it goes in here now lol). It’s cured about 2 months now and it definitely picked up a a heavy stone during that second month. Smell is very nice as well, smelling a piece of a joint that’s about 5’ away from me right now. Can’t wait to see the difference with the GRxCD!
