I’ve been giving my green bottom in veg 11oz per day and they seem okay. I’m curious how much you apply per day when vegging out?
Edit: in contrast my .75gal nursery pots with step pyramid tops get 8oz/day in late flower and also seem happy.

You can use tweezers to pull it off then. You should already be skilled using tweezers to pull things off, so this should be a cakewalk

I don’t water daily unless something odd happens and they need it. Every other day or every third. Most of the time I let it go until the leaves are a little slumped too because I remember reading that letting them have a bit of dry time between watering was beneficial. Can’t remember what it’s supposed to help, just that it’s supposed to lol. Works for me though.

By coming after and watering a bit too much (or too loaded with nutes) I killed one in flower last week!! Newbie learning!

Do you have a pan under your pots to collect excess water? I usually water until it starts dumping a little in the pan and back off, then wait until I see the leaves get a little limp before watering again. The airpots are really open on the bottom so it’s hard to overwater with them. I’ll let the roots grow from the bottom sometimes and they’ll suck up the excess in the pan if it needs it.

Slick, what meter are you using for moisture content. Are you probing the buds or is it a rh style. When probing, I dry to about 15% then jar. At that point the small rh meter reads a bout 60-62%, if it rises, burp em to get down where you like
