Have you been testing your pH when feeding?
First thing is always check the pH. Most issues in soil for me come back to that.
No that’s why I’m thinking the Mega Crop is changing it. I only use RO water and it’s usually around 6.5 without nutes. I had one of those cheapo meters but it started getting way off compared to the standard liquid test so I don’t have a way to test it after adding nutes at the moment.
I’m going to have to bite the bullet and get a better meter, was just hoping to put it off for awhile.
You have a suggestion for a meter? If I’m buying another one it can’t be too much but I won’t get the cheapest one I can find again
I experienced a lot of nutrient lockout before I started measuring my pH with every water. I use tap though, and it already runs a little high. When adding silica it goes through the roof, so I’m always adjusting
I can’t tame my NoRGE, it’s growing out of control!!!
I’ve been topping these babes for 2 weeks now, trying to slow the vertical growth until I can place them in the Veg tent.
Mega Crop has silica in it among a bunch of other stuff. I’m really leaning hard towards that being the issue rather than nitrogen. I’ve only fed with MC two or three times now but my issues started after the first feeding. Not enough to go yup definitely but enough to be the main suspect and first thing to rule out
Damn yeah it is! Mine is a bit deceiving because of how I trained, both slowed her slightly and makes her look much shorter. She’s a grower for sure though!
I mean you could get really creative and start spiraling the thing but that’s gotta be a lot of stress. 2x 2 is definitely a bit tight. Mine is a hair over a 4 x 2 I believe.
Once I get them in the 4x4 ill start training, problem is my stems are already as thick as a marker.
I’ve been pinching and super cropping to stun and slow growth.
That’s not even training at that point, that’s wrestling!
Water with pH neutral, distilled water and test the runoff. If the soil is off add either acid or a base, whichever direction it needs to go and repeat until corrected. Continue watering like this as you can’t uproot the plant and correct the soil. Works for me every time.
I have a liquid kit from General Hydroponics somewhere I’ll have to find. Correcting the soil PH is a good call cause in my head I was just thinking to correct what’s going in rather than what’s already there but that’s logical to address the soil first.
Yeah, doesn’t matter how much you feed it. If your pH isn’t correct they can’t uptake the nutrients.
Dolomite lime can be your best Friend
Well shit. The ends of the quadline growth were starting to get taller than the middle on the CT so I decided to train them down a little to even it out. I was going to let that go a day and then defoliate the bottom some tomorrow. Get one shoot down no problem, get the one across from it down, no problem… until I heard the snap. It split right down the center of the main stem vertically where it was topped. Can’t get electrical tape around it because it’s right between the top mainline. Rigged it with some padded wire as best I could to keep it together.
So hopefully it should be fine, they’re pretty resilient, but still WTF?! I think I’ll hold off on the defoliation for a minute though
So uh, unless I’m wrong, uh… shit? These are pics of the NoRGE but the Orange Grove is the same. Just some meaty calyxes right?
Well shit. CT is a fine ass LADY though. Is the smell of a male in flower anywhere near a female? I’ll probably just cull but the thought of some Orange Grove pollen doesn’t sound like a bad thing.
Lol, at least the CT is a girl. If you can throw the male somewhere in a closet under a light to flower out and collect some pollen to hit a couple branches it wouldn’t be a bad thing. Chocolate and orange are 2 flavours I love and would grow those beans if you happened to hit a couple branches…
That gave me a good laugh bro
