Low! 30% right now. I was planning on cleaning out the humidifier and setting it to 40% tonight. SO lower than I would have thought for mold.
Yes and no. You just gotta add some airflow it seems then. Inside the nugs theres less airflow and localized RH can climb. You’d be surprised how much moisture a plant really gives off! Dense nugs can pose issues at times…

So seeing these beans and thinking about the Chainmail Fuckvest testers from my giveaway I decided to check in with the 3 people who were supposed to be testing them. Haven’t heard anything so I was curious how they’re making out. 3 out of 3 are banned! One of them for “name calling and disrespecting staff” so no idea what went down there.
This is the one that is pissing me off though - 2 of them were the same fucking person! @Donnie said he was friends with @Nikkihaas in posts, according to the bans he WAS her as well! What a dick fucking move. Testers got 10 beans each because they were willing to run them right away instead of the 5 everyone else got that just wanted some. It’s bad enough to scam for beans but really?! You were already getting twice as much as everyone else and that wasn’t enough, and there were only 3 tester slots to begin with but you take 2? Scumbag shit. I’m in disbelief anyone on this site specifically would be such a greedy fuck when we pass beans to each other like tics tacs anyway. Just wow.

Well someone pointed out to me in a PM that all 3 were banned on the same day which I didn’t notice. He might have been all three of them.

The last one left me a little jaded on them and people’s motivations, even before I discovered this BS. Live and learn, and try not to be surprised when people pull shit like this I guess.

What confused me is that he frequently posted that she was hanging out with him, helping in trim jail, etc - and posted pictures of himself with a woman he said was her in the background. Isn’t that rather a lot of effort to go to for free homemade seeds with no particular pedigree? It’s not like you’re Bodhi, claiming to choose parents based on your cosmic intuition and the psychic energy the plants give off when you’re on the proper psychedelics… you chose those parents because those were the only ones of those strains you had running at the time. 
Oh well, people will be people. Selfishness and greed are just as much a part of human nature as nobility and chivalry… probably more, there’s no evolutionary benefit to nobility or chivalry. Just look at monkeys, the ones with a predilection towards theft are the ones who survive hard times to pass on their genes. That being said, the best way to get real testers is probably to just pass out a lot more beans in the first place. Unless you get enough of a reputation that people will line up to buy your drops and accept that they’ll be lucky to find one decent seed out of ten - an attitude which already boggles my mind, tbh - you’re right, better to just send them out and don’t expect much back. You’ll be less unhappy that way, if nothing else…

Yes and no. The mother CT is actually a pretty desirable strain but then yes I just dumped the first available pollen I had on a branch. I think it’s an interesting cross and hopefully others do too but you’re right it’s not a bred strain or anything that was planned out and pined over or anything. Is that really what Bodhi does? I had not heard that lol.
I expected nothing back from the 30+ people I gave 5 packs to. Just hoped they enjoyed them. For the 3 people I expected to just let me take the ride with them as they grew them, which may have been 1 person the whole time. I sent out over 40 packs between late additions and some privately sent. How many more beans should I pass out?! 
And I refuse to be less unhappy!

They’re both fairly nice strains, from what I’ve read, but it’s not always entirely about the strain. Different seeds from the same strain can have different genotypes, even as they sometimes have the same phenotype. The cannabis genome hasn’t been mapped, not surprisingly considering the legality, so breeders are all kinda playing a guessing game. Some use statistics and rely on the Punnett square, which is mostly but not entirely accurate since it doesn’t take into account linked genes, much less crossover. It’s slow and painstaking, since you can’t 100% rely on it and mostly need to test every generation, but eventually ends up with a mostly stabilized strain - though, again, we’re stuck with mostly because we just don’t have enough information. Some use more foggy methods, like picking out the parents that “speak to them,” making F1 hybrids and moving on, and letting other people stabilize their work once they’re done making money… I’m sure you can tell which I respect more.
I don’t entirely know Bodhi’s process, obviously. I’m not sure anyone outside his inner circle does, and I hope the rumor I heard is just wishful thinking. Someone I can’t remember mentioned on a thread that I also can’t remember that Bodhi and DJ Short were talking on a podcast once upon a time, and Bodhi asked DJ whether he used psychedelics in making his selections. Since people want to believe their favorite breeders are gods, and since Bodhi clearly encourages this kind of thinking by naming his companies things like “Supernatural Selections,” I guess it stuck. As for whether the hype’s justified, no idea. I’m not planning to spend the money on his unstable genetics just so I can have one more anecdote about how good or bad that particular seed pack treated me, any more than I’ve spent money on any other genetics I think are unstable. I’m sure I’ve been wrong about whether some of the genetics I’ve bought are in fact stable, but that’s mostly because I accept that it’s a market where lying is very easy to get away with. I was considering buying his Metal Haze repro, but then I figured if it was stable I’d end up with some anyway in a few years once it’s discontinued and people are doing repros of the repro, and if it’s not stable I don’t care anyway. I have a million and a half other unstable hybrids I need to get to first anyway, like this excellent Chocolate Thai x Orange Grove cross someone made and nicely handed out.
All of them, dammit, and then bring the plants back to life and make more! Dunno, just law of averages really. I’d assume that if you’re really trying to market a line, you’d make tens or hundreds of thousands of seeds and clone the parents so you can continue to make them if they test well… either that, or release them untested and hype the hell out of them because they’re so limited and elite. Speaking of which, there’s an elite, limited edition Bodhi drop of “Zap” happening three days ago that I missed! I guess we can be unhappy together.

Still not a good reason not to do it. Spread it wide and you will get burnt on occasion. It’s ok.

I’ll definitely have more seeds for the community down the line but if I do a mass giveaway again someone else can handle that part, I’ll just supply the beans. One off FSFC giveaways are another story and can be fun. Or maybe I’ll do like a few others and just give a pack or two away in my grow threads once in awhile.
