I heard some story about Alter Ego being dead years ago, yet seeds continue to be made, or at least released.
I’ve also seen how Alter is talked about. I don’t have any proof whatsoever, but it feels like Alter Ego is just a second brand. Maybe there’s some widow with a stockpile of seed packs shipping them off to SCSV, but I doubt it and it makes my spidey senses tingle 
I bit on some a while back. IIRC, the MAC work was some of the only inexpensive packs around at the time. Still have never popped anything… 
Was a good enough experience, I wish I knew more about the work and people and plants behind it all.
