Only 3 of the 4 Cherry Soul have made it above ground, I checked on the 4th and it popped a tail but looks like it just didn’t have the will to live hahaa
So I’ve started soaking a Sherbet x Wedding Cake by CSI to fill the gap.

Will be nice to have a bit variety too, I usually like to grow a few different things at a time.

This week I’ve also been prepping for setting up my mini clone/reversal tent.

Because I’m not going to need much light in there, I dismantled a led panel from one of these that I picked up cheap at ASDA for like £5.

After removing the diffuser, can see it has 10 leds. It gives off roughly 100ppfd at about 8".

It’s powered by a USB-C, which is great, because it means I attach and run a USB mini PC fan and plug them both into the same USB adapter at the wall.

I then screwed 4 eye hooks into it so I can hang it from the tent.

I love messing around with stuff like this. The DIY side of this hobby is so much fun.

All 3 Cherry Soul are up and looking good!
Can’t wait to watch these grow!

From what I’ve seen they seem to have similar leafed morphology to the Wookie dom Soul Mates
(Although I havnt seen a lot of the Cherry Cookies, I’ll likely get in touch with Banana Man at Trichome Jungle and see if he had any info on the mother.)

The Sherbet x Wedding Cake from CSI has took no time getting itself going!
I noticed the whole stem is purple and it’s hard to see here, but even the two cotyledons have a purple centre to them. It’ll probably grow out of it, but hopefully it’s foreshadowing.

Huge shout out to one of the true OGs of OverGrow! @LegsMahoney hooked me up with these wonderful Good Medicine f3s

I can’t wait to pop some of these, hopefully early next year, if all goes to plan!

Thanks again dude!

Set up the mini clone/reversal tent yesterday.
The light will be getting changed out as its just not quite powerful enough/doesn’t give off enough heat to keep the temps where I want them.

Quite happy with the bathroom extractor fan though, does job perfectly for this size tent. And fits snugly without taking up any room.

The little ladies are coming along nicely, I noticed one of the leaves of #3 starred to show some discolouration, this was down to it being squashed between the cup and the humidity dome over night.
Apart from that, there all doing well.

On a driving job today, happened to be in around Manchester area. So called into a head shop there.
I like to try and find the stoner shops in every town/city I visit, on off chance that they have some hidden treasure I their seed vaults!

And today the universe rewarded me!

On the way to the shop, I was listening to the Red Rider episode of the Breeders Syndicate, where they’re talking about Colombian variteis.
And what should I happened to find in the shop.
Their last pack of Bodhi seeds, SOAR!

Head shops in England sell seeds? That’s pretty cool. Just outta curiosity, how much did they charge you?

As Holy mentioned on the B thread, I did grow one of those a couple years ago, good weed for sure. I was hoping to find a taller, stretchier C. Red-type plant, but she stayed super-squat and barely stretched at all. The smoke was still pretty sociable and “up,” though. I liked it, still have 15 seeds of that one, I oughta plant some more and see if I can find a C. Red leaner.

That’s awesome! And a killer score! Wish they had those here, I’d be doing road trips constantly hitting em all up! very nice, love the ingenuity of the micro tent too, very cool

I grew out a couple of Alunas. One had smallish buds with a mess of red hairs. A lot like I remember the Columbian Redbud we got in the mi-70’s. Really nice uppy smoke. I think the G13HP kept it nice and smooth, but still let the Punta Rojo shine. I’ll bet that Soar is really nice.

Ah yeh, not all of them do, but good majority have some for sale. Its legal to sell them here, remember they’re just souvenirs!

Are you at a high altitude? I’ve heard that Colombians can grow stockier in higher altitudes, and lower down they become more bushy and stretch… thibk that was based on outdoors though as well, so a lot of different factors, never mind the fact that SOAR is a cross.
They weren’t cheap, but Bodhi Packs in UK never are lol. I got them for equivalent $70US.

I’m liking that it was an “up” high, I could definitely do with something like that in the stash!

Thanks man!
This job takes me everywhere in UK, think I’ve drove about 15,000mile in last couple months alone. It’s always driving some nice cars though, Audi, Mercedes, BMW, Tesla, Jaguar. Its a pretty easy job, just long days.

The micro tent is still work in progress, I’ve had one light too weak, and then one too powerful. Next one has to be just right haha.

Ahh that’s cool! Great that you got to experience that too at the time! Hopefully I can find something nice in this pack, when it comes to popping!!

Nahhh, that had nothing to do with it. I mean, I dunno what altitude I live at haha, but I think it’s pretty much sea level. Seemed like she was just an OMG leaner as far as plant morphology was concerned. I posted side-by-side pics of her and some other OMG cross somewhere a while back, maybe on the Bodhi thread. Can’t remember now which one it was, might’ve been the OMG-leaning Smart Move I grew, but in any event they looked exactly the same, had to have been the OMG in them.

And that’s not a bad thing. I like those OMG leaners.

Those shorter type plants would suit my growing space great. So that’s good to know too!

I’ll have to do some more searches and reading up on the OMG stuff.

It’s been a busy couple of weeks!
Deadlines for some art work, driving jobs and rasing the next generation :fist:
So, plants have took a bit of a back seat, and they’ve shown me that they’re not happy :pensive:
So tonight I planted them into the ‘big’ bed.
They’re home for the next few months.

They definitely needed jump from those solo cups.

Digging into the soil I found plenty of worms too, and the soil itself looks and feels great!

I added a scoop of Mycorrhizal fungi to each hole, chopped and dropped the cover crop to use as mulch, added a sprinkle of malted barley and watered in with some aloe.

They should perk up and be on track in a weeks time.

2weeks after transplanting and they’re perking up.

They all have some degree of purple stem going on though. So I’ve added a top dress, chopped the cover crop down and added a hemp mulch layer.

Watered in with rain water today, and as its winter now, theres plenty of it herr in UK :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:
I’ll likely just use rain water for the rest of the grow now.

Cherry Soul from Trichome Jungle

Sherbet x Wedding Cake from CSI this is 1 week younger than the rest.

Who would have thought having a child would take up so much of your spare time!

This current grow has definitely had to take a backseat on my priorities list, and it has definitely been suffering because of it.

I’ve tried to just keep up with watering at the very least, but not paying attention to the environment meant I’d let it get down to 35% humidity for the last 10 days.

I’ll be honest, that’s has been absolutely unheard of in every home I’ve ever lived in apart from this one :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

So at the weekend I picked up a humidifier and got the lights on humidity back up to 60%

Here’s a closer look at the biggest of the Cherry Soul.

I think I’ll try and take some cuts from this one.
Its been the most vigours, had ridiculouslypurple petioles and striped stem from the beginning and has an extra sweetness to the stem rub that the others dont have, will help keep it in line, height wise with the other plants too.

If the clones take, I’ll be attempting to reverse at least one of them and make some S1s.

For some reason the Sherbet x Wedding Cake has only put out 1 new set of leaves in the last 10 days. Not sure why, but it seems to have just gave up on growing

It happens. That’s actually a constant struggle here, too, super-annoying, but I’m not sure it’s THAT big of a deal. I mean, yeah, it’d be nice if humidity levels were perfect all the time, but mine have gotten as low as 35% the past few days, too, and the plants seems fine.

That happens, too haha. Sounds like she’s just stalled out. I’ve had a few plants do that, started out fine and then around week five, just nothing. Done. I have no idea what that’s about, never looked into it, but I have always trashed those, even though I hate doing that haha. I mean, if they’re not growing, they’re not growing.

Might be kind of interesting to flip that plant anyway, though, just to see what happens. For science’s sake haha…

I only really noticed the humidity and thought to check because I was getting very itch nose when breathing and my son was starting to get congested.
It’s just something I’ve never dealt with living in the UK  we’re basically a cold swamp here.

I did pop this one a week after the other 3. I’d initially soaked 4 of the Cherry Soul, but one didn’t make it. And now this Sherb x Wedding Cake just doesn’t want to go on hahaha
Maybe it’s the universe telling me that I’m only supposed to have 3 plants in this space.

I’ll be flipping it for sure. Watch me get the dankest 5g you’ve ever seen
